Today Heather asked us to find out what our spiritual gifts are. Let me preface these results in saying, one I did them quickly because I wanted to do this, but also I am running round trying to get packed to leave tomorrow. Second, I did not care for the second test, I liked the first test more. So I may have had more of a bias here. And before giving my results, I believe my spiritual gift is prayer.
The first number is the first test and the second number is the second test:
These were pretty much the same
Teaching – 19, 20
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables particular Christians to communicate the truths of God’s Word so that others can
learn.
Discernment – 20, 18
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit certain Christians to know with assurance whether some behavior is of God or of Satan.
Knowledge – 17, 17
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians to understand in an exceptional way the great truths of God’s Word and to make them relevant to specific situations in the church. Wisdom – 17 17
See It is the special gift whereby the Spirit endows particular Christians with an understanding of God’s will and work as it relates to the living of life.
Exhortation – 17, 16
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians to stand beside fellow Christians in need and bring comfort, counsel and encouragement so they feel helped
Helps/Serving/Ministering – 14, 13
It is the spiritual gift whereby the Spirit empowers certain Christians to willingly bear the burdens of other Christains and help them in such a way that they can do their tasks more effectively
Administration/Ruling – 11, 12
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians to understand the goals of a given segment of the Church’s ministry and to direct that area effectively, keeping the Church on course.
Pastor/Teacher – 12, 11
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians to assume responsibility for the spiritual welfare of a group of believers.
Here things began to differ: (I go with the Faith score on the first test instead of the second)
Giving – 11, 14
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians to offer their material blessings for the work of the church with exceptional willingness, cheerfulness and liberality.
Evangelism – 14, 17
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables particular Christians to share the Gospel to unbelievers in such a way that the unbeliever becomes a disciple of the Lord Jesus.
Mercy – 17, 11
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians to feel exceptional empathy and compassion for those who are suffering so that they devote large amounts of time and energy to alleviate it.
Faith – 23 , 12
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit provides Christians with extraordinary confidence in God’s promises, power, and presence so that they can take heroic stands for their future of God’s work in the church.
So what do I get from these result? Over all I agree, I do believe in the first score of Faith, teaching, discernment, knowledge are my strong points….. I know for sure I lack administration (that is my husband’s spiritual gift) and I have known I am low on the mercy pole (somthing that is true but I am not proud of). That comes from seeing things as black and white.
Very interesting and I am glad to see where I am, it has been several years since I have taken a Spiritual gifts assessment.

I liked the first test better, too.
I’ve been enjoying reading these.
BTW, the “word cloud” on your side bar seems to have drifted over onto the main part of your blog and there’s a wide space over your post covering up the words. At least on my computer.
I liked the first test better too. The second was added only out of concern for the areas it didn’t cover. I find it very interesting to note that all those who have joined me in this study have similar top 5 gifts, we all overlap one way or another. With so many available gifts I find that interesting. I am pretty low on mercy as well, which means I have to try extra hard to have mercy as we are called to do.
I have taken the spiritual gifts assessments several times over the last several years - they are shifting - at least for me.
As Heather said - it is interesting to see that we all ’scored’ high on faith…it was one of my top ones :).
I hope you are having a grant time with your family down here
