What Has Touched My Heart This Morning…

in Biblical Message, Family

“Do you ever think that your sins are too bad, and that forgiveness for those sins requires you to get your act together first? If so, you don’t fear God. You are minimizing his forgiveness. You are acting as though his forgiveness is ordinary, just like that of any person or make-believe god. In contrast, the fear of the Lord leads us to believe that when God makes promises too good to be true, they are indeed true.”

- Ed Welch, Running Scared (Greensboro, NC: New Growth Press, 2007), 195.

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is GOOD; for His loving kindness is everlasting (Psalms 107:1).

If you are struggling with perspective this morning, let me help.

That They Might Live

MaryAs a Christian there are bigger things then our day to day living, bigger things than an election, bigger things we don’t see that is happening right here on Earth. Father may you give me your eyes to see them.

I got my first letter from my support child, Mary. She is only 5, but there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of her. I pray she has enough food for that day, I pray her Mom & Grandmother have the resources to care for Mary and her siblings. I pray the small amount I give really does make a difference. I pray God transforms my 5 loaves and 2 fish. And it is only through God and the servants at Compassion International who can make that happen.

Because of you visiting my little blog here and the few advertisements I have on this site, I was able to send Mary’s Mom & Grandmother an extra $25 this month, on top of my normal giving.  THANK YOU.  $25 dollars does not seem much to us, but I know God is going to multiply it and provide for their immediate needs.  This Lynn, was my Kindgdom Assignment.

Father let me see past the nose on my face. That is my prayer today.

On a total unrelated note: Life with a 2 year old can be fun, as my sweet sister in found out. Hey, at least I know they are safe inside the house. Click over here for a good laugh. My sister knows she is going to have to have a good sense humor in the years to come.

Great encouragement today. You are a wonderful blogger.

I love the prayer. With me being with fever today and not feeling well, it helps me to focus beyond my nose and think about others.
