I now have an 8th graders (big man on campus) and a 6th graders (little amoeba on campus), the picture above is of my middle child.
There should be some sort of support group for Mom’s with more than one child in middle school at the same time…..well I guess there is, it is called BLOGGING =))
Thank you for stopping by, feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed!

My two will be in 6th and 8th grades this year also. Consider me the first official member of the support group. The school they will be attending is small - 700 students 6th-12th grade. I’ll pray for you if you pray for me, I have a feeling we are going to need it!
Yep, blogging is good therapy.
I have an 8th-grader, too, but his school is small (less than 250 K3-12) and they are kind of included with the high school in most things. So he’s still a pretty small fish in the sea.

P.S. Are you enjoying the quiet as much as I am now that school has started?
Great picture Laurel….and yes there is the support of fellow bloggers w/middle schoolers…I cannot be part of that group since mine are long since gone from that stage of life—but I can be part of the “been there done that—here’s a box of kleenex—you will need it”—watching them grow up is awesome….and the best gift we-mommy’s have!
God is good! All the time!
Be blessed as the week unfolds God’s surprises for you!!!
My youngest is in 8th grade this year. Sigh, I have 2 in high school this year. Now that is giving me chills. 8v0
Oh the joys of Middle School!!! I’ll be praying for you my friend…I remember those days ALL too well!!
My two are in 8th and 6th this year, too! Fun!!
They attend a very exclusive middle school. It’s so exclusive, that unless the teacher gave birth to you you cannot attend.
Exclusive.
YES, blogging is a support group, girl, no matter where our kids go to school. We need it!!
Can’t wait to read about their (and your) adventures this year…

I also have a 6th and 8th grader this year. I agree, blogging is good therapy.
Dear Lord, that will be me in 2 years! Ack! Actually, I’m about to start home schooling my soon-to-be 6th grader…But my 4th grader is just fine where she’s at: “I don’t wanna be home schooled, Mommy!”. Okay. No problem.
GULP.
I love the page you created!
You could be on to something - Blogging for Middle School Moms - hee hee.
Thanks for your encouraging words during my grandmother’s death, I appreciate it so greatly.
Hi there~
I’ve tagged you…hope you don’t mind!
My little brother just moved up to 9th grade–I spent a lot of time supporting my mom as she dealt with middle school.
And she taught there as a sub most weeks.
When I went we didn’t have middle school–we jumped right into the Jr. Sr. highschool when we hit 7th grade.
I sympathise with you laurel its hard watching them grow up isn’t it, but you’re doing a brilliant job anyway! And we’re here to listen to your woes!
You are too cute - yeah, blogging is a great ‘therapy’ for busy and overworked moms
I love the LO, Laurel…
Be blessed today and always.
Mom of a sixth grader and an eighth grader here too! (not to mention a fourth grader and a second grader) However, in our system, sixth grade is still in elementary school (a 5th and 6th grade school).
Support group? I’m there! Will we have coffee? And chocolate?
