We Say Goodbye With Hope-update

in Biblical Message

Written by Stephen Curtis Chapman for a family that lost a little one, I pray the words comfort him today and in the days to come. (please listen to words, not the video, wish I knew how to just upload the song)

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But it is ok to grieve, and as a Christian community we grieve BUT WITH HOPE.

Later today someone posted a tribute to Maria, here is the link.

I had never heard this song before. I so appreciated the phrase “cry with hope”. Beautiful!

This song was so touching and I feel so bad for this family. I had never heard this song before and went to youtube … I ran across a tribute someone has just posted with the song and pictures of Marie Sue. It looks like it was posted just a short while ago. I thought maybe you’d like to link it to your post.

I also haven’t heard this song before, but “wow” unbelievable. I have not stopped praying for this precious family. I cannot imagine. Wonderful scripture to remind us of what a wonderful place this little princess and all our loved ones who put their trust in Christ will get to go when they pass.

Thank you for this and the link, Laurel. Yes, sudden tragedy is something to grieve.

I have never heard this song….it amazed me. Especially after our “memorial weekend sister’s “mini” retreat” with mother, Aimee and my aunt. With one special sister missing. I love this song.
Thank you Laurel.
