Two Teenagers in One Household….Lord Help Me

You were a big baby when you were born, of course after my first child being 3lbs anything would seem big. Having a brother only 18 months older than you, you seemed to pick things up easily.

Today you are in 7th grade gifted classes. Academics come easy to you, in that area you take after your father. Just this week you signed up for “environmental club” because you wanted to learn how be wise environmentally. I am so proud because you are your own person.

You are my Jim Carrey; you make me laugh constantly and have that quick wit about you. On the other hand, you are our absent minded professor, so smart but yet sometimes the simplest tasks like cleaning your room become a major task. Motivation is not your friend unless you are up against a deadline (that your get from your father also =).

Your officially birthday is the 13th where Dad’s birthday is the 14th. I am still sad to this day that you don’t share each others birthday just for the pure fact that I was born on my daddy’s birthday. God had other plans.

I am so excited to see you become a teenager and watch you develop into a man. You are the quiet type but a momma’s boy. I am so blessed God gave me you, I look forward to seeing what exciting plans God has for you.

I love you and Happy Birthday baby.

Happy birthday! May this first year as a teen be fun, full of adventure and bring you closer to the One who made you!

You’re in great company… Mr. Right’s birthday is the 12th and my brother’s b-day is the 14th too. Oh, the celebrations abound.

I also reached this milestone this year when my 2nd child (daughter) turned 13. It is so fun to see her and her older sister heading off to youth group at church and other activities together. It has been very good for their relationship since 13 was the magical number for certain things .
