Thirteen very random thoughts for the day.

  1. Do you know how hard it is to turn on my praise music in the car, and not be able to bellow out the music due to jaw surgery.
  2. I am sooo excited because next month I get to travel to Baltimore by myself to become Godmother to my new neice.
  3. Then for Thanksgiving my whole family is flying out to Phoenix for Thanksgiving. I sooooo can not wait.
  4. And if that were not enough, my whole family is going back to Baltimore for Christmas; this Floridian is hoping for a White Christmas. To any potential burlgers we will have mean dogs guarding the house, but it is the cat who you should really fear.
  5. I once prayed and complained that I never had girls to buy for, now I have over 4 neices and it is hard to know WHO to buy for (I rotate them =).
  6. My sister in law is in the AirForce, she has already served in Iraq. She just found out she now has new orders to be sent out again (either end of this year or beginning of next)
  7. I am proud of her, but it scares me. I cover her in prayer.
  8. The new show “‘Till Death” makes me laugh so hard. Have you seen it?
  9. I just went into the room where my three boys were playing and I about passed out. I should own stock in candles, air freshners, etc.. because I stock up on them. Boy, boys can smell bad.
  10. My dog thought he hit the mother load today. I wrapped up the trash, getting ready to take it out to the curb. Well I got distracted and ended up walking out of the house and forgetting the bag. I could see my dog sitting there in the living room thinking “did she really mean to leave this down for me, this is like my dream come true.”. Well when I got back home, lets just say my dog enjoyed his “heaven on earth”.
  11. My oldest son is now taking Spanish. He now tries to talk to me in Spanish, I think I need to get some CD’s like “learning Spanish in 30 days” so I don’t accidently agree to buy him a new car or something.
  12. My Dad is now one of the older people you meet at a Poll location when you go to vote. I think that is a wonderful volunteer job for him, he is so good with all kinds of people.
  13. Thank you for joining me on a journey though my random thoughts, now I am off to get a pedicure thanks to a wonderful boss I have.

Be safe in your travels…and my prayers are with all of our soldiers as well.

Happy TT!

Loved your random thoughts, and I would be telling any potential burglers to “Beware of Cat” in my home too, she won’t let a single breathing body walk past her without stopping them for some sort of attention. When our family went on vacation to Florida a few years back, we had a friend stop in daily to check on her. He told us all she did was cry and beg for attention. When we got home, she wouldn’t leave us alone for a moment, probably afraid we were going to disappear again. Poor Holly- she is the queen in this house, a truly spoiled rotten Bengal. But we are slaves to her, and I can only pray and hope she lives a very long life because this Bengal rocks!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing on my blog.

Great list! I love reading random things about people. Had to laugh at #10 — sounds a lot like how my dog would have reacted. ;)

That was fun! It’s always a fun time when someone posts their random thoughts! LOL at the odiferous scent from your playroom!

9 Anonymous 10.11.06 at 11:42 pm

My Honey loves that show, too! I think Brad Garrett just tickles him… I, too, have a stinky boy, so I can sympathize there! Our thoughts and prayers are with your sister in law and all of our soldiers!

I’m still digesting the fact that you have a boss who would ORDER you to get a pedicure, at his expense. Good grief. Do they actually still make bosses like that?

I loved this post. I just love the randomness of it. And I tell myself you’re feeling better, which I sooooo hope. :-)

11 Tracie 10.12.06 at 12:22 am

Great random thoughts!
#11-I think you had better learn that Spanish quick!!

My TT is up!

12 momrn2 10.12.06 at 12:23 am

That may have been random but it was also very fun!

13 gail 10.12.06 at 1:12 am

Hope you are doing better with your surgery. What a nice thing for your boss to do!

14 Chelle Y. 10.12.06 at 1:31 am

You have great random thoughts, especially when they are filled with prayer.

15 KaY 10.12.06 at 1:50 am

I better buy up stocks then on candles and air fresheners since I have a boy toddler. Hehe.

Mine’s up. Care to drop by?

16 Diane 10.12.06 at 4:30 am

Yes, you really got to learn up Spanish! When I was younger I told my mom I’m taking 50 bucks from her purse in Chinese. She doesn’t know Chinese and bluntly agreed.

That day I spent the money on lots of chocolates! Hush hush!

17 amy 10.12.06 at 5:25 am

18 Silver 10.12.06 at 6:25 am

Ohh, I love random lists. Happy TT!

19 Jane 10.12.06 at 8:06 am

Boy, you really DO have a nice boss. Enjoy the pampering.
It’s great that you are going to have all that family time. How wonderful.
Thanks for stopping by my T13.

You should becoem a stewardess an get all sorts of discounts for the travel too. If you can’t do that, demand more peanuts. (You can save them to eat later.)

Happy pedicure!

21 Barbara 10.12.06 at 10:46 am

Loved your random thoughts. Never thought about using those for a TT. Great idea.

My TT is up.

22 Christina 10.12.06 at 11:06 am

I hope that your jaw feels better soon so you can sing along with your praise music! When I play that kind of music in the car, I can’t help but sing.

And happy travels!! I’m from FL originally so I can relate to the dream of having a white Christmas (it has never happened to me, not even the year I went to England).

I would trust my cat anyday to guard my home over my parents’ two dogs. They are really big pussycats :)

23 Stacy at Exceedingly Mundane 10.12.06 at 11:10 am

Wow, lots of travel coming up, it all sounds like fun! :)

Hope the pedicure went well, enjoy!!!

Have a great day, and a terrific weekend!

24 Lindsey @ Enjoythejourney 10.12.06 at 11:10 am

I guess I shouldn’t tell you that I’m jamming out to Chris Tomlin’s new CD right now? I can just picture you wanting to sing in the car and can’t :(

25 Beckie 10.12.06 at 11:45 am

Great list of random thoughts…what a great idea. Our daughter is learning Spanish too (but she’s in college). On way she learns is to turn on the Spanish captions while watching movies. Just a suggestion.

Blessings to you.

26 scribbit 10.12.06 at 1:12 pm

My daughter, learning German, is doing the same thing.

27 Barbara H. 10.12.06 at 2:04 pm

Neat list! Looks like you have some good times coming up!

I’ve not seen “Til Death.”

I think it’s neat when older people volunteer at the polls.

LOL about your dog and his “find!”

28 N. Mallory 10.12.06 at 2:15 pm

What a beautiful blog them!

29 Jennifer 10.12.06 at 3:23 pm

Okay–I just read the beginning of your post from yesterday. Sorry that you have had down days. I had knee surgery, which left me incapacitated two different times (right after the injury for several weeks, and then for a month or more after surgery, which was a month later). I don’t think that people understand what a big deal it is (I know I didn’t until I faced it myself).

I love to sing loud to praise music and Christian rock, too. That would be hard for me not to be able to. You can sing in your heart.

30 Chelle Y. 10.12.06 at 5:28 pm

I love the praise music! :)

I hope you had a nice pedicure.

31 Brony 10.12.06 at 6:16 pm

Have fun traveling. Great list.

32 Danielle 10.12.06 at 9:22 pm

We’ve finally moved back near our family–we were driving 6 hours every Christmas. I am so looking forward to NOT travelling for the holidays!

Hope your jaw feels better soon!

33 eph2810 10.12.06 at 11:28 pm

I am sure our dogs would have a field day too if I would leave the trash for them to go through. Actually they teamed up a couple months ago, opened the door to the trash and pulled it out…argk.
Coming to Phoenix - wow. I am sure the weather will be great. Always is here for Thanksgiving.
Praying for you SIL as well. Keep us up-dated.

34 MugwumpMom 10.12.06 at 11:35 pm

Oh the singing praise music with jaw surgery has GOT to be soooo hard!! You could hum along?!

35 Vicki 10.13.06 at 2:02 am

Enjoyed your random thoughts. Hope your jaw is feeling better and will pray for your travels next month. And for your sister-in-law!

You made me giggle about the boys. I had two, so I remember well:-)

36 Pixiepincessmom 10.13.06 at 10:36 am

That’s a lot of traveling; be safe & I know you’ll have lots of fun. I’m envious of your full house for Tday. No one wants to travel to see us. I have yet to catch “Til Death”, I hope to eventually. I hope you enjoyed your pedicure! :-)

37 Jennifer 10.14.06 at 2:57 am

oh, I loved your thoughts, most of them are funny, and they told us alittle about you. I agree you should learn spanish quick! Your travel plans sound like fun, but exhuausting too. My husband works the polls every election, he loves doing it and my older kids love to go ‘help’ for a few hours with him.
Nice list,
Get lots of rest!
