Thirteen Things that get me through days like yesterday.

1. Lots of coffee.

2. Prayer for patience.

3. Good blogger buddies (you guys are a stress relief).

4. Calling your Mom to gripe about anything that comes to mind (I even forgot to tell her WHY I called I was to busy griping).

5. Getting my hair cut. Yes I look pretty sassy, thanks for asking (red streaks and everything).

6. Shooting off an email to explain to a certain party why this day has me up in arms.

7. Finding out my oldest son was only a few percentage points away from straight A’s this first report card!!! (Mom that is what I MEANT to tell you)

8. Having hubby come to my side of what I am upset about.

9. Having hubby put up with my really bad mood.

10. Knowing God has forgiven you for all thoughts, thought AND said once you ask for forgiveness.

11. Knowing God has forgiven you for all thoughts, thought but NOT said once you ask for forgiveness.

12. Figuring out things are not as bad as originally thought, but still frustrated.

13. Ending your day with a large rocky road shake.

Those are all great ways to get through. I love how you ended it. i have had one of those days and ended mine with frozen whipped topping with peanut butter (my equivalent, believe me.)

Great to know that He gets us through the whole thing, regardless. BTW, yes I got your email, it was a HUGE help, and I have been too busy to actually respond. I DID leave it in my inbox so I will get to it eventually. :)

I think I’ll need some of that today. I’m back to college after a short break. The symtoms are all kicking in already.

I hope you’ll a have great Thursday. I’m rushing off to class now. Ugh.

Good for you to have someone to rant to …

Coffee does make things better but the shake should work wonders.

Hugs work too!

This was a great list!

I could go for a shake right now! It’s nice to have a husband that will stick by you no matter what mood you are in at the moment.

Great list ~ it’s nice to know that with a little coffee, some ice cream and prayer we can pretty much tackle anything!

You may want to switch the order of that… :)

Happy Thursday and congrats on seeing the good things that get you through a crappy day!

Thank you for your TT - I enjoyed reading about your “bad mood”

Come on over and read about the 13 reasons why we should embrace life.

Ah! That’s the secret to a really bad day: self-indulgence. I’ll have to remember that. (I’m so glad you included prayer in your bad day!)

I hope you have a better day today. Too many more bad days and you’ll end up broke and fat. ;-)

16 Kathy 10.26.06 at 9:15 am

Thank goodness for mothers and husbands but mostly #2. And of course, as you mentioned; coffee helps as well.

17 Barb 10.26.06 at 9:24 am

What a GREAT list! I couldn’t agree more that calling Mom to whine when you’re having a bad day is the magical cure. :-)

And congratulations on your brainy child. Don’t you just love it when they do that? :-)

Oh - I really need a hair-cut too. Maybe I am getting one this ‘blog-free’ weekend….

I am often amused at myself when I get into my huff, only to find out my huff was completely unnecessary. I just roll my eyes at myself…

Coffee is always a wonderful help, put prayer is the great sustainer.

Congrats on grades, mom, friends, God’s forgiveness and a husband who loves you with all your moods! God is so incredibly marvelous!

Family, friends and forgiveness from God…can’t do without any of them….

24 Melissa 10.26.06 at 3:19 pm

I can’t gripe to my mom….my gripes lately have been about her….My hubby is a great listener, though.

Hope things are better today. Thirteen 10th Birthday Photos

I tried to comment on here for two days but it wouldn’t let me. Here I am better late than never!

It’s wonderful that you have both a mom with a listening ear and a supportive hubby! Prayer, coffee and a rocky road shake, makes for a good way of handling things!

27 Jennifer 10.27.06 at 10:38 am

Hey–we’re supertwins. I DID (finally!) order those glasses. The tortoise ones, and if I ever got streaks, I think I’d get read, because my hair has some natural copper.

And, really, ice cream and coffee will get you through a lot, LOL.
