It is such an honor for me to be able to review books for Christian Women Online. If someone would have told me just a few years ago what I would be doing, I would have laughed. Me writing any thing is a God thing. Through reviewing books I have been introduced to many great authors, I have even had the opportunity to speak with Lisa Whelchel on the phone. Every interview I have done has left me in awe, but this interview is special to me personally.
Mary and I go way back, she just did not know that until earlier this year. I devoured Mary’s books when they first came out. I remember after reading her first book I felt I found an author that could put into words, feelings I was feeling. And as an added bonus, she made me laugh while speaking to my heart. We have become somewhat email buddies and it is amazing how much we do have in common. We are at different stages in our life, which in some way I am thankful because her books are like having a big sister that says, “hey I have been there, felt that, and let me share how I survived.”
Tomorrow September 1st head to CWO Book Buzz and read the interview and you will understand why she is called “The Laugh Lady.”
Be sure come back on Monday for my “I love Fall Giveaway.”

Haven’t read any of Mary’s books. Hard to find good books in Costa Rica. But after reading your post I certainly plan to try to find some of her work. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings!
Thanks for the recommendation.
“When Did My Life Become a Game of Twister” is certainly an interesting title for a book. I’d never heard of Mary Pierce before your post but I’ll have to check into her writings. Thanks for the heads up!
What a great friend you are, Laurel! You are a blessing to me and I’m SO glad God put us together!
Joy always,
Mary
Laurel ~ I’m really enjoying your blog! Thanks for recommending Mary Pierce’s books…I’m always looking for a great author to add to my list of “must reads!”
I have ‘met’ Mary through you - and I am very thankful for that. I have one of her books in German and I totally know what you mean - she is a wonderful lady, and does put a different spin on life. One thing I got from her is that I should not take myself to serious - and laugh about the ‘oops’ in my life
I will make sure that I will read the interview…
