Thankful Thrusday

by Lori

“Our weakness provides working ground for Christ’s power” ~Jonathan Edwards

1. I praise God I have plenty of “working ground” for Christ’s power.

2. I am thankful I am going to be an Aunt for the 6th time, feels just like the first =))

3. I am thankful, “I’m leaving on a jet plane, don’t know when I will be back again…” ok so I am not going on a plane but I like that song anyways….hubby and I are running away. This blog will be VERY quiet beginning Monday…

4. Thankful my kids are going to a camp all next week, I have already been praying they met God in a new exciting way.

5. My ARIZONA WILDCATS WOMEN’S SOFTBALL TEAM WON NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP.

For more Thankful Thursdays and a special announcement head on over to Sting My Heart.

Also I want to pass along a little gem I have found BibleMemory.org if you struggle with memorizing, this web site (which is now free, was not before) gives you a verse a week and sends you an email each day in helping you learn that verse. Check it out, it has been a blessing to me.

I am so happy for the two of you ‘running away’…It is good to have time for each other. And you can be certain your boys are in good care — His care.
I heard about the good news about the win on the radio today–great for the team and you, being a “Wild Cat” yourself.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Be blessed today and always.

Glad you’re getting some time away. Even if it’s not on a jet plane. Ha! I like that song too. Kids and summer camp, very precious time for them to meet God in a new way. Blessings on your day.

Thank you for the Bible memory link. I will indeed check it out. You have a great list. Our kids camp starts next week here — almost 300! Wow!
Have a great time with your hubby!

Beautiful list! We let our girls go on an excursion with school at a local monastery today. It is the first time we let them go alone. I hope this will give them time to experience God an an intimate way.
Have a lovely week.

Thanks for the link! Great thankful post.

Darlene June 7, 2007 at 3:37 pm

Babe, I hate to go…

I can memorize really well. About two years ago I memorized a 12 minute monologue. Yeeeks. I didn’t think I could do it, but I did :) I’d like to learn an entire book of the Bible, so I can show off–just kidding!! I just think it would be great.

NspiredByFaith June 7, 2007 at 3:44 pm

I am so jealous that you are getting to “run away”! I hope you guys have a great time and come back rested and relaxed!

Have fun on your jet plane. :)
