Exodus 33:13
1. Today I am thankful I have friends that put up with my craziness.
2. I am thankful the Lord is continually trying to teach me more about him.
3. Today I am thankful that tomorrow my middle son can hand in his Science Fair project and all “big projects” will be out of the way finally.
4. I am thankful that I am almost completely healed.
5. I am thankful Lord pushes me out of my comfort zone, to serve him. When in reality all I want to do is throw up from nervousness. But the Lord carries me every time.
This was difficult to write when the first thing I read this moring is about Amy, how my problems suddenly seem insignificant. Father my I have the grace she has shown to us, in my life. And I lift her up with all my heart today and lay her before your throne.
I am thankful Iris, hosts this every Thrusday.

Thanks for sharing your thankfuls today Laurel. I know what you mean about how insignificant our problems are compared to other. But, you know, God has promised us not to give us more than we can bare (or is it bear???). Evidently, God has allowed these things to happen, because he knows they can handle it (with His help)! He’s awesome.
Blessings to you!
I’m thankful to know you are doing better!
I enjoyed your list. I really don’t like it when God pushes me out of my comfort zone but it has done amazing things for my walk with him!! Amy’s story broke my heart too, makes me re think what I am thankful for! Thanks for sharing.
My prayers are with you for your complete healing.
Cheers to your week!
I enjoyed reading your list. There is always someone that has it more difficult than we do. That great thing is that God doesn’t trivialize our problems. He is there to help us through everything.
Hey, as one who hates school projects due to a serious lack of craftiness, I am ALWAYS thankful at the end of a project!
Awesome list, bless you sweety.
Lovely. Thank you for sharing. Eileen @ http://halfwayhome.wordpress.com
Thank you for the update on Amy. I had not heard that. I love you #1! God so has a wonderful sense of humor!
Hugs!
“1. Today I am thankful I have friends that put up with my craziness.”
Put up with it? Girl, we relish it!
And I love that verse. So fitting for my life right now…
And yes, I’m lifting up Amy and her family to the Healer who has a plan, even if we can’t see it.
So happy to know you’re feeling better.
I agree about Amy, what an inspiration she is.
Enjoy being project free! Mine is calling my name, taking up too much room on the kitchen table behind me.
I am thankful that I have your blog to read and to remind me of what I should strive be more like. I am thankful that you are feeling better. I am thankful that so many people brought Amy to my attention so that I can add her to my prayers. Have a wonderful Thursday
Laurel - thank you so much for sharing your thankful list with us today. I am thrilled that your healing is going well.
Thank you for the link to Amy - I am broken hearted. I know that God loves us very much, but sometimes I do not understand Him…
Much love and blessings to your afternoon…
I love that verse, LW. And I love your list. Congratulations on finishing that project and being done with them.
I can barely even stand to think of what’s happening to Amy. It’s beyond heartbreaking. My immediate thought when I heard about it was, I have no problems at all. None. Zero.
I so enjoy your thankful posts Laurel. I’m glad you’re almost healed. That’s great news.
I have a problem with that comfort zone thing too, but I know the Lord is wanting me to move out a bit.
What a lovely list.
And yes, things do get into perspective mightly quickly when news like Amy’s is known. Am continueing to pray for her and her family!
Thanks for the link to Amy. It is so hard to be thankful and happy at the same time our hearts are breaking for Amy and others who are hurting. God calls us to praise Him no matter what and sometimes we can only do so through our tears.
I am thankful you’re feeling better, too, and I applaud you for continuing to recognize the blessings in your own life no matter what is going on around you!
I can relate to your list. I constantly have to remind myself that it is the Lord who urges me to leave my comfort zone and be obedient to His will, because He knows what is truly best for me. And yes, I am constantly thankful for friends who put up with me — craziness and crankiness rolled in one. hehehe.
Great list, Laurel. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
Thanks for sharing! I joined in at my faith blog for the first time this week!
Thanks for sharing such simple truths today…we are so blessed in whatever state we are in. God is good at ALL times! I haven’t read about Amy, but I will now. Glad you are feeling better! Have a wonderful weekend!
