When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.” Psalms 18:4-6
No matter what is going on in our lives, the waters WILL NOT sweep over you.
1. I am thankful for patient people who put up with me. Sometimes I can micromanage things and interfere with others doing their talent. Which is a hint to say there will be some changes around here at the Laurel Wreath blog.
2. I am thankful there are only TWO (do you hear me TWO) more football games in the season for my boys. Can I hear a Praise God!!
3. I am thankful for My Dad, it is his birthday Friday and I praise God for every day I have him here on earth to run to. He is my Dad, my counselor, my spiritual adviser, my editor, and my listening ear and I praise God I was born on his birthday.
4. I am thankful for good books, they let me escape the world around me and travel to far away places and met some wonderful people. Can you tell I just finished some great books. I hate when they are over.
5. I am thankful for so many women out there in blog world, you bless me in so many ways! I might embarrass her but Angie sent me a book (which I won on her site) but she also sent me this special handkerchief that her Mom hand makes and prays over each one to give to special friends, and Angie got one for me. I about bawled when I opened up my card and read that. No special magic, just “a special gesture of love…” And people wonder why I blog. Oh my goodness! Angie thank you for just touching me so much, can not wait to read the book.

Girl,
Your TT posts are always a delight. Can’t wait to see what “changes” might be going to happen.
You are a rich blessing. Love and hugs, Lynn
PS. Loved that poem. Can I use it?
I too am thankful…thankful to be loved and forgiven…and thankful for a friend (Holy Mama) who FORCED me into blogging…(I love it)
I am so in agreement on the football games! lol
Then come basketball! Whoohoo!
I am a book addict so I can so relate to a really good book.
I am also so very thankful for you and my other blogging sisters in Christ.
And I am so thankful for my cats who are making a huge. mess. Lord, give me patience now… thank you!
I’m praying that there are only two more football games in my son’s season, if you want the truth. A playoff position is unlikely at this point, but there are a lot of other parents praying against me, so who knows.
Laurel,
God bless you as you continue to listen to Him. Woohoo for only two more games. It is interesting how peaceful things can get after “a season” is over. I hope you are encouraged today…
What a great list of Thankfuls! I am so thankful for you my friend, you are always so inspiring!
I hope your day is filled with many blessings!
Happy Birthday to your Daddy!!
Have a blessed week ahead. And yay for only two more games!
I love your post today. I tend to micromanage too. It’s a flaw. Sometimes I try to micromanage our Lord, and I really need to learn to let go of that attitude. I’m working on it
Loved your list today, and especially needed that verse today…thanks so much for sharing it!! Aren’t bloggy friends such a blessing??
Changes? Hmmmm. Very interesting - I can’t wait to see what you’re talking about, Laurel.
Happy Birthday to your dad. And are you saying tomorrow is your birthday too? How could I not know that? If it is, I will be on the road, so here’s an early Happy Birthday to you, too.
This is one of my very favorite Psalms. It always has been.
well, i’m thankful to have connected with you this past week!
shalom!
