1. I am thankful that the first week of football is behind us, and we are back into routine. (seriously folks, you are going to be glad when October arrives and I stop talking about football!!!)
2. I am thankful for the opportunity to review books for Christian Women Online’s Book Buzz beginning in September, I have been reading some great books and can not WAIT to introduce you to some wonderful authors.
3. Raising teenagers is not for the faint of heart, and some days I don’t know which way is up. So I am thankful for parents and sisters who let me cry on their shoulder and they pick me up again.
4. I am thankful for your wonderful kind words on my blog-birthday post. You bless my socks off, sometimes I sit here shaking my head. But may everything I do or say point you to the cross, that is my desire.
5. LAST BUT NOT LEAST…..I would like to say CONGRATS to (drum roll please)
Please email me at lrlwreath at gmail dot com, and send me your snail mail address and I will get this bible study out to you!!
Janis, I am soo excited for you. May you be blessed with this bible study girl, I would love to hear from you whenever you finish it. Even if it is a year from now =))

Hey Girl! Congrats on the new hat at CWO - I can’t wait to hear about the books you have been reading. Glad you have made it through the week with football! Have a great Thursday!
Can’t wait to be introduced to some new authors! I hear you about raising teenagers. I have one left in the teens (16), my middle child just turned 20 (ugh..am I really that old) and my oldest is now 23! It gets better my friend! They come back and realize that mom and dad aren’t so bad after all! Hang in there.
Raising teenagers is definitely not for the faint at heart…..I think you will do great at CWO! Congrats again!
Blessings
Thank God from whom all blessings flow that teenagers turn into adults. With boys the older the better. We are finding that post 25 is so good! Blessings on you…

I am so excited to win your drawing. That book has been on my want list for quite a while and I just haven’t bought it! I can’t wait to get it! Thanks Laurel! Congrats on your blogiversary and your new opportunity at CWO! Blessings!
I am thankful that you’re raising teenagers BEFORE me so I can benefit from your wisdom! May you make in through football season in one piece…
(Also, I’m thankful I have girls and therefore won’t be experiencing football season. But talk to me about gymnastics sometime…)
Congrats to you on the CWO thing, and to Janis for the book. I also get you on raising teenagers because my youngest brother is 15 and spends a lot of time with us (my parents are divorced and remarried and he lives half the week at one house and half the week at the other and spends a lot of time at our house because we are between the two.) Both my parents ask my advice with him, especially since he is more open with us than with them. It is a rough time, especially with all the pressures at school–he is in public school and has a lot of learning issues–just like myself and the kids so I spend a lot of time tutoring him.
Football already!! Our school starts next week. You’re right, raising teens is only for the strong who can rely on God’s everflowing grace!! God used my kids to change me…over and over again.
Thanks for sharing dear girl. Blessings!!
I’ll be leaning on you when I have a teenager! LOL
Yay for surviving the first week of football!
Congrats again!
Blessings~
Happy Thursday! –No we will not get tired of hearing about football—that is what we’re here for! Your head might explode if you couldn’t “tell it!”
About raising teens…..girls were tough….I don’t know what boys would be like…but God brought us through it to the other side! I am so THANKFUL that I still have my hair (most of it)—even though it’s gray—
You are a blessing!
Very nice list, Laurel. And congratulations to Janis. Lucky dog!
Wow- can’t wait to hear about these great authors you’ve found through CWO! What a fun thing to be able to do.
Congratulations.
I am also going to be writing book reviews on my site.
I look forward to reading your thoughts & hope you will drop by and check mine out.
