Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory..
I Pter 1:8
Is it really Thursday? This week has been going by fast!
1. I am thankful my Mom is a faithful reader, but I know sometime this weekend I am going to get a call saying something like, “I am gone for one week, and that is the week you decide to do TONS of posts!” I am thankful my Mom got to spend some quality time with her older sister. They both needed the time away.
2. I have had a friend surprise me with Adobe Photoshop Elements Classroom in a Book book, that books ROCKS in explaining everything I need to know. So if you don’t hear from me, I am working my way through my Photoshop book, it is my new addiction hobby.
3. I am thankful that my son had a great week away on his mission trip. Ok I am assuming it was a great week because I have not heard from him yet, no news is good news right? He will return on Saturday
4. I am thankful in all God is teaching me, he always gives me so much to think about, that sometimes it takes me a few days to digest it all before I can move on.
5. I am thankful for my freedom I have, right now there are Christians being persecuted and put to death because of their beliefs. May I never take my freedom for granted. And may I stand at the throne and plead for them.
May you be richly blessed this week. Head on over to Sting My Heart for more Thankful Thursdays.

I also like to deal with pics with photoshop, but to many things need to learn…
I love dabbling with photoshop, too! I enjoy manipulating my shots that way. well, after I edit it with picasa2.
I watched that news about the Christians being abducted … so sad. After viewing that, I too felt blessed that I can practice my faith without fear.

Doesn’t your son know that he’s suppose to check in
Seriously though, yes, no news is good news.
I too am very grateful that we can freely worship and talk about our wonderful Lord with fear of being put to death or tortured.
I know what you mean…..no news is good news…..my husband even gave them a lecture on phoning home before they left this time…..my daughter called almost every day but my son…oy….well it must be a boy thing!
I am so thankful for you my friend!
Your thankful list always blesses my heart dear.
Your #5 left a lump in my throat.
Photoshop is a time sucker. There seems to be some sort of time void or something because I will start playing around and pretty soon day turns into night and my family is asking for dinner.
Praying for your son to have safe travels! That’s so wonderful that he’s on a missionary trip!
Blessings!
What a great list. Amen to #5.
I have the same addiction, my friend. Photoshop can get you totally hooked. I am so thrilled that you are having a cool book to take you through it.
How awesome your mom is spending time with her sister. It is such a blessing for women to stick their heads together :)…I really miss my family sometimes.
Be blessed today and always.

I am thankful for you Laurel ~ you are so sweet. I have been reading about the South Korean Christians as well ~ not too far from here at all. My husband has an amazing testimony about his time in South Korea and visiting Christian churches there. Blessings to you this TT!
I am so jealous!! You have time for playing in Photoshop?? It seems that the younger male gender gets sidetracked on mission trips and don’t call home. Therefore, I decided to go with him the next time! HA! Blessings on your day.
Thanks for the constant reminder of other Christians and what is taking place. Each time I enter our church building I am grateful to worship out loud and not in secret with other believers.
Wonderful list!! What a blessing and encouragement our mothers are! Thanks for sharing…

I am delaying looking into Photoshop because I just don’t need another hobby - but it is so tempting! I hope you enjoy it!
Happy Thankful Thursday and thank you for sharing your list with us!
I love that scripture verse. Even though He’s not seen with our human eyes…we can feel His definite presence. I felt it so sweetly this morning at my table–trying to get a few bites of the Word in my heart before I left (don’t always get to do that).
You are a blessing in my life. Thanks for the encouraging words on your blog!
With boys…no news is good news!
I tried and tried to train my boys to call their mom when they were away to let me know how things were…didn’t always work.
Great list Laurel! Blessings.
And I’m thankful that I met someone I can list as Love under Spiritual Fruit on my blog! You definitely display Christian love here.

It is good to be reminded of the precious freedom we have to worship the Lord. They are our brothers and sisters - those who are suffering for their faith. They need our prayers.
A great list Laurel. I know - boys aren’t the best about keeping in touch, but I’m sure he’s having a great time!!
Sounds like you’re having a pretty good week. Hope your son gets back home safe and sound!
Blessing abound! Somehow, I think your Mom will catch up on the posts she missed. LOL
I’m hoping I can get my new Photoshop program installed this weekend. Good grief. I’ve had it for ten days and there it sits, on my desk! Not doing me much good there.
You know, I seriously need to consider doing this Thankful Thursday. Now that things are beginning to settle a little around here, maybe I can actually get my act together. Heaven only knows, I have lots to be thankful for.
