Momma’s got a new hat - Ghostwriting

alyssa-avant-buttonI have stepped out of my comfort zone, and I like it. Alyssa Avant announced she was looking for an intern to help her with her ghostwriting business the Lord nudged me towards it.

It is out of my comfort zone, but something I have strangely found I am enjoying. I am an intern for a couple of weeks and then will be helping in a bigger capacity after I get my feet wet. Baby steps are good. I am a chicken when it comes to jumping into something new with both feet, I am the one who sits back and admires those who do.

So what exactly is ghostwriting? I had to figure that one out myself. I am surprised to learn there are sites who pay ghostwriters to write the posts for them. It is not limited to blog posts, but also:

# original articles,
# PLR articles
# PLR re-writes
# E books
# special reports
# a relational letter to a client
# newsletters

My friends, any prayers for this new adventure is much appreciated! And if you know anyone who is in need of the services above send them here.

This does not change my monthly Book Buzz reviews or monthly devotions at Laced With Grace, and this here will still be my personal blog.

So have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone and done something you never would have thought of before? I would love to hear about it (mainly so I don’t feel like I have stepped off my rocker)!

Thank you for stopping by, feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed!

Dear Laurel

Congratulations!!!!!!
I am sure that you will be delighted in years to come by this step.

I am so pleased I stepped outside my comfort zone!!!

Here is my favourite quote:-

“Twenty years from now you will be more
disappointed by the things you didn’t do than
by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbour.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Girl - I am proud of you. I know that sometimes stepping out of our comfort zone is a little scary. But remember He will always be with you - He will give you strength to make one step at a time. ((((hugs))))
The only time I ever step out of my comfort zone was when I lead Bible study at my church…but after the first initial shock I loved it :)

Go you! I know what you mean about comfort zone–I have a few things pushing me out and am rather nervous about them–trying to make wise decisions and choose the best. Sigh.

God always seems to be pushing me out of my comfort zone; I’m like the little bird that doesn’t want to leave the nest. The biggest one for me was foster parenting, but now He seems to be wanting more. Good luck to you, I’m sure if God’s behind it, it will be amazing!

I think it’s good to step out of our comfort zone. With a background as a cardiac nurse, I am in new territory working with my husband on a technology startup. I felt that was what the Lord wanted me to do. However, by being obedient even when this really wasn’t what I would have liked to do, He has blessed me in other ways. One of the things I’ve been learning is about blogging which I’ve enjoyed (when I have the time to post). And my husband has an increasing respect for me as I have been a big help to him without complaining. I am learning new skills I would never have been exposed to if I hadn’t been obedient and stepped out of my comfort zone. So I look forward to reading about what you’ll learn taking on this new project.
