I loved this book the minuted I opened the package. Victorious Living by E. Stanley Jones was originally published in 1936 with over one million copies sold. I fell in love with the design of the cover and the enclosed case it was in, but as soon as began reading the devotional passages I was hooked. According to Dean Merrill when E. Stanley Jones set out to write this devotional book, he was not looking to pen the daily “feel good” passages he desired the reader to develop a deeper relationship with Christ with a firm foundation. Not every passage ends with a tidy bow at the end, instead E. Stanley Jones’ goal was to make you think.
This would be a good devotional for man or woman and if you are like me and enjoy the historical aspect, knowing God’s word NEVER changes.

As soon as I saw the book cover, I liked it. I have an old book from the 30's that was penned by a Lutheran pastor from Denmark
