  • The Homecoming by Dan Walsh takes off where The Unfinished Gift left off, but each book stands alone as a great book.

Shawn Collins just returned home a war hero, but he was ready to stay home and grieve over the loss of his wife and spend time with his son Patrick. The military had other plans. After several weeks of leave Shawn was asked to serve his country by being a speaker on the war bond tour. Other men would be excited for the chance to rub shoulders with Hollywood elites, but Shawn wanted to just stay home.

With no other choice, Shawn asked Katherine Townsend to be Patrick’s nanny while he was on tour. This decision will turn his world upside down. Shawn tries to understand God’s decisions while at the same time learning to open his heart again. Dan Walsh is a master storyteller. One of my favorite scenes was when Shawn re-told the story of how he saved his crew from being shot down. Walsh’s vivid descriptions make you feel like you are there with each of the characters. The Homecoming is a love story that will warm your heart. Walsh’s characters come alive, and after reading both The Unfinished Gift and The Homecoming I feel like I am losing some friends. Both of these books are highly recommended!

Available June 2010 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.

    Lori,

Thanks for the great review. So glad you enjoyed The Homecoming, too. I’m kind of like you. These people are like family to me. If God gives me another story with them, I’d be delighted. Maybe something in the 1950′s.

    Thanks again, Dan Walsh

Sounds like another great read. Thank you Lori. I really need to get back to read more fiction to ‘unfrazzle’ my head.
