Betty Kowalski isn’t looking forward to the holidays. She just can’t seem to find Christmas in her heart. Maybe it’s because her husband is gone. Maybe it’s because she’s missing her children. Or maybe it has something to do with her obnoxious new neighbor, who seems to be tearing his house apart and rearranging it on the lawn.
But when a mangy dog appears at her doorstep, the stage is set for Betty to learn what Christmas is really all about.
Reading The Christmas Dog felt like slipping into your favorite, comfortable slippers and relaxing by a warm fire. This is a wonderful book to pick up and read during the month of December. It will remind you that first impressions are not always the best impressions. Many times it is not until you get to know someone, do you realize the story behind their actions. This book is a short read with only 172 pages, but is perfect this holiday season.
