Set Apart is a six-week Bible study through the Beatitudes. Jennifer Kennedy Dean walks readers through the study of Sermon on the Mount. We were made for holiness, and this core concept of the Beatitudes is accessed through a praying life—a life lived in the present-tense power of God. It is only when we continually pursue holiness that blessedness comes, and we discover the power and fulfillment of the promise of God.
I have enjoyed reading two studies from Jennifer Kennedy Dean this last year. I reviewed Live A Praying Life earlier this year and her newly released study Set Apart have both blessed me in my spiritual walk. In Set Apart Jennifer Kennedy Dean looks at What Is the Law, Acquainted with Grief, The Meekest Men, Merciful Savior, Peace with God, and The Heart of Prayer (just to name a few topics). I love her authenticity and while studing the passage for each day I felt like—even though I have heard the Beatitudes many times—I was learning something new each day. This would be a great bible study to add to your list.

Jennifer Kennedy Dean is the executive director of the Praying Life Foundation and a popular speaker and author. Best known as a gifted biblical expositor, Jennifer speaks regularly at national and international conferences and events and has taught for years at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove. 2-1-11 I was priviledged to be among the small group of people who was
at the taping of Jennifer Dean Kennedy’s “Set Apart”. I was amazed that she
could speak for 15 minutes, take a break. then when she cam back she could
always pick up exactly where she left off–I knew then that Jennifer was
speaking through the Holy Spirit. The reality of the Presence of God was
felt the entire taping time which was about 5 hours. I highly recommend
this study.
