Cry in the Night is Colleen Coble’s fourth book in her Rock Harbor series. Bree Mathews is the mother to 8 year old Davy and works on a search and rescue team in the Upper Peninsula on the shores of Lake Superior. While out trying to find a missing woman Bree comes across a baby hidden under blankets and leaves. Bree who has struggled with infertility wonders if God is answering her prayers. Bree’s second husband Kade has been a blessing who shares her faith and love for Davy.

Little did Bree know that this new found baby will lead to additional information on her first husband who died 4 years earlier. Shortly after bringing the baby home, Davy claims to have seen a ghost who looked just like his late father. The ghost was burying another baby in the snow. A few days later, Bree begins to spot someone who looks just like her late husband Rob. Could he possibly be alive? These events lead to the discovery of black market babies, corruption and lies.

The action in this book will keep you going until the last page. I have to admit I did not read the first three books, so I know I missed some of the history, but I still found the book an enjoyable read.

Book can be purchased here Cry in the Night (Rock Harbor Series #4)
