Today I went though the drive through at McDonald’s and said hi to the person waiting on me. Earlier this morning I walked into Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee and smiled at the rushed lady behind the counter. While at work I said hi and asked the gentleman who walked by how his day was. These are all events that I would not normally share—in my mind they are uneventful—but Andy Andrews believes differently. New York Times bestselling author Andy Andrews shares with readers in his latest book The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters that everything you do, no matter how insignificant, matters!
When you discover and live your life as if everything matters you begin living a life of permanent purpose. Those who live with a purpose find they are a better spouse, parent, worker, teachers, etc. Living with a purpose will decrease uncertainty and doubt, and take you to new heights.
Andrews is a mater storyteller who brings true life stories alive. In The Butterfly Effect he shares some stories of unknown men who if they had not succeeded we would not be where we are today. The Butterfly Effect is inspirational and causes one to stop and think how those simple daily tasks of talking to people while visiting McDonald’s in the afternoon or Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee in the morning does matter. Everything you do has an effect.
I recommend this book for everyone, but it would also make a wonderful graduation gift for every young person heading out into the world.

Andy Andrews, hailed by a New York Times writer as someone who has quietly become “one of the most influential people in America,” is a best-selling novelist and in-demand corporate speaker for the world’s largest organizations. The Traveler’s Gift, a featured book selection of ABC’s Good Morning America, has been translated into nearly twenty languages and was on the New York Times bestseller list for seventeen weeks.
Andy has spoken at the request of four different United States presidents and toured military bases around the world, being called upon by the Department of Defense to speak to the troops. Arguably, there is no single person on the planet better at weaving subtle yet life-changing lessons into riveting tales of adventure and intrigue—both on paper and on stage.

Sounds like another marvelous read, Lori. It is so true though, everything we do from Hi and Bye matters.
