  • On days when the sun is shining and things are going our way, it’s easy celebrate and believe that God has our best in mind. But everyone also experiences struggles, from job loss to illness to broken relationships. On those days, it’s hard to see the beauty of His design.

But through trust in our loving God, every day can be beautiful regardless of the circumstances because He is with us, giving us grace, strength, and joy for each day. In sections such as “Days of Faith,” “Days of Love,” and “Days of Grace,” Gwen Ford Faulkenberry offers personal, poignant devotions which include corresponding Scriptures and prompts.

A Beautiful Day is a beautiful book divided up into seven sections: Days of Grace, Days of Faith, Days Love, Days of Mercy, Days Joy, Days of Peach and Crazy Days (which I think we can all relate to!). Each section has six sub-sections, making this book the perfect devotional book to read during the week. Faulkenberry is a self confessed devotional-book magnet but has found many of them are filled with fluff. Beautiful Life is filled with beautiful real stories and comfort without all the fluff.

This would make a wonderful gift.
