1. Any book by Mary Pierce. I have read all of her books and you can not go wrong. This says it best, “kick off your shoes and laugh your socks off over the foibles and absurdities of life. ”
2. Rebecca Veldez is a first time author that knocked my socks off. Her book titled “Such A Time As This” gives the story of Queen Esther. I pray she is writing more!
3. “Taming Rafe” by Susan May Warren is a perfect summer book! You will be wondering who turned the heat up while reading this book.
4. Amy Wallace’s Defender of Hope Series. If you have not read any of these, what are you waiting for?
5. During my vacation I read “Washington’s Lady” by Nancy Moser. Moser does a wonderful job in bringing Martha Custis to life, otherwise known as Martha Washington. She was our first “First Lady” of the United States. Reading this during the 4th of July was such a blessing.
Well that is all I am going to list right now, two of these I will be reviewing for CWO at a later date. Reading is the perfect vacation all the time!!!

I so agree with you on Mary’s sense of humor. She is great - and she translates well into my native language

I have to check out your other recommendations, my friend, because I know that I can trust your judgment on good reads
Have a blessed Thursday…
You are so right…reading is a good vacation. I’ve always loved to read and will and can do that over any other thing. I go right there where I am reading. That is one reason that all I read are Christian books. The ones that point us to God and share the gospel in such a way that people can be saved. I will hush…I just wanted to tell you that I agree with you on the vacation and reading. Blessings on your day.
And it’s the cheapest, most immediate vacation you can take!
How sweet are you!?! Thanks for the recommendation and I’ll look forward to connecting with those who connect with me through you! It’s just a delight to be in God’s family, isn’t it? It’s HUGE!
Joy to all and happy reading!

Thank you Laurel. I’m looking for a few good books! I just bought one - and I don’t like it! I hate it when that happens. I keep trying to read it, but it’s just no go.
These sound great.
