I interrupt this "blog break" to just say…..

in Misc.

There are only a few people I would follow to the ends of the earth with. Sorry I do love you all, but there are just some places I will not go. When it comes to manly man I go where he goes, when it comes to my kids, I go where they go, and yes when it comes to my hair dresser I go wherever she goes. I am following her to a new salon for the third time since she has begun cutting (and ahem…coloring) my hair.

I came to her looking like a Mother of three boys! I looked run over, beat up and just plain “motherly”. She transformed me into something reasonable and with each visit made me look more and more sassy. Now I don’t know about you, but when I walk out feeling like a million bucks. I could almost pay her anything for the way she makes me feel; oh and my hair looks great too. I get a lot of compliments. My hair is the one thing in my life I spend money on. Now mind you I am not spending TONS of money, just enough to have a great cut and sassy color.

I am just saying there is nothing better in life than a warm cup of coffee, a little bit of chocolate and a hair dressers that makes you feel and look like a million bucks (for under a million bucks!)

So thank you all who are hairdressers and do wonders to those of us who can not seem to get one foot in front of the other some days. We appreciate your hard work.

Ok, back to my break….see you soon. Hope you are having a great week, happy “over the hump day”.

Thank you for stopping by, feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed!

Amen. LOVE my hairdresser. Humbles me that she’s only 20, but she’s awesome at knowing what my hair is capable of better than I do .

*giggle* You’d follow your hair dresser to a saloon? And for the third time now? Laurel, I had no idea! *giggle*

But you’re right a great hairdresser is worth her weight in gold especially when she doesn’t charge you that!

You are so right about a good hairdresser and when you find one, never let her (or him) go. I might even pay close to a million bucks for a REALLY good one;) No one needs to know that I am going gray (I blame it on the boys).

LOL…….oh, I do hope I find one of those treasured women when we move..I so desperately NEED it!

With all of this blessed stress, I am not going gray….I am going White!! *sheesh* But my dear Grandmother had lovely, white-candy hair. I just don’t want it YET!

Hear, hear to talented hands!!

I’m so glad you took a little break:) I know just what you mean. I’ve followed my hairdresser also. I live in fear that she will get married and retire. Poor thing is on her feet all day, has worked tirelessly for years and would like nothing better than to find a good man. Me - I’m just thankful I found her, and I don’t want her to go away and leave me.
Have a good one Laurel.

I agree - a good hairdresser is worth whatever she charges. Nothing worse than a BAD one!

Sigh. Makes me wish I had a hairdresser. I am my own hairdresser. I have had so many bad ones (except for the lovely woman who used to spend 3 hours every few months putting curlers in my mid-back length very thick hair for a perm when I was in high school. Now she was good.)

You must have one great hairdresser! How wonderful! I started cutting my own hair years ago because every single hairdresser got way too scissor happy with me. My sister finally started cutting and styling my hair (it’s short and layered) until I learned her techniques and didn’t need her anymore…LOL.

I really would look like a million bucks again, but I would have to make an appointment. I will take that up within the next couple of weeks…I need some color back in my hair and a cut too…

I know what you mean! I will follow a good hair dresser too. It is majorly important. Especially for me with all my grays and all. :)

I’m so with you! I followed my hairdresser from salon to salon, until finally she agreed to come to our house. What a luxury. Blessings!

“I am just saying there is nothing better in life than a warm cup of coffee, a little bit of chocolate and a hair dressers that makes you feel and look like a million bucks”

I sooo second that emotion;), and because you must believe it to have written it, I now consider you a candidate for my new best friend.

Don’t be scared, I really am “normal” :). (”My new best friend” is one of my favorite ways to compliment peeps who make me smile…BIG).

I thought this was sweet. Ah, there’s nothing like a good hairdresser. They’re hard to come by. I think my hair is the one thing I spend the most money on for me too. Ah, I just get it cut but my hair won’t do much (thick, straight and fine) but it’s amazing how someone who isn’t skilled can wreck such straight hair. :) I’ve had a few good hairdressers but the BEST one (SOB) is too far to drive to now.
