Laurel Wreath’s New Year’s Meditations-REMINDER

( IF YOU ARRIVED HERE, CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE MAIN PAGE)

Who: Everyone is invited

What: I would like you to post on your site about your hopes, dreams, goals, for the next year. What would you like to see God do in your life? How would you like to see Him move in things? Make this as general or as personal as you feel comfortable. What are your goals for next year? I am not looking for the “lose 10 lbs this year” answer, something a little bit deeper. When you look back December 2007 where would you like to be?

Many of us look forward to new changes in the new year, some of us dread the changes. As a side note, this blog is going to go through some changes. Soon you will be arriving to a NEW IMPROVED look, but don’t worry it will be the same ‘ol me. Changes are sometimes good, sometimes dreaded, and sometimes dreamed. What is your change or dream for this next year?

When: Come back the first week of January 2007 (January 1 through 5th).

Where: I will put up a Mr. Linky beginning January 1st through 5th 2007, so you can link back to your blog post. I am not really one to make “New Year Resolutions” (infact I dislike them), if I make them I break them. But I am one to think about what my dreams and desires are at the time, and see where the Lord leads me. Sometimes it is exciting because the Lord has so much more in mind, sometimes it proves to be a difficult year because He had a lot to teach me. Either way it is exciting to follow God’s leading and plan for my life. How about you?

Feel fee to grab the graphic and include it on your blog.I’m looking forward to seeing who will take me up on this challenge! IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE THE PICUTURE I CAN GIVE YOU THE HTML CODE. JUST EMAIL ME AT lrlwreath at gmail dot com. Thank you Nic at As My World Turns

As an extra incentive, anyone who participates and advertises this on their blog. I will be sending one lucky participant a $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com. I’ll do a random drawing from the names of everyone who posts. Make sure you leave me your link on Mr. Linky January 1st through 5th (and post your response to the topic above), these are the people who will be entered into the drawing. I reserve the right to delete any links not pertaining to the New Year’s Meditations.

The winner will be announced and sent the certificate Januray 6th, 2007.

Sounds like a good idea to me! I will be thinking and praying about it! Jen, my sister in law and I sit down over Christmas each year and write out a similar list. We write out prayers and desires for each of our children, ourselves, and our husbands. We share our lists with eachother and then give eachother copies, so that we can be praying for eachother's families. I love it! She and I are getting together next week, so maybe I can carry my list over to my blog!! Fun!
  • eph2810

It's been years since I actually made resolutions for the new year. I stopped because I always disappointed myself when I failed to keep them.

This gives me a lot to think about. I'll be here - and between now and then I'll be thinking hard.
  • eph2810
Not sure what I will come up with, but I am in...

I will post something about it this week...

What a tempting offer... and a great idea. I'll have to give this some serious thought!

BTW, congratulations on your two CWO nominations. Wow! :~)
  • Linda
I gave up making resolutions years ago, but this sounds like a wonderful idea. I'm going to think, think , think (as Pooh would say) and pray and see what God would like to see happen in my life over the next year.
    Thanks so much Laurel.
  • carol
This sets much better with me than resolutions. Goals for the year, things we'd like to do differently, changes we'd like to make for ourselves.

I hope you get a good response!
  • Pamela
I copied and pasted this to my recipe file

sounds like a fun one to do with grandkids... or just let them do it and supervise
  • Heather
I am really looking forward to this and will certainly get right on it as soon as Christmas is over. Go Laurel! This is an awesome idea.
