2008 Christmas Tour of Homes

by Lori

BooMamaChristmasTour WELCOME!

If you are new to my site, I am Laurel. Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t stand out there looking inside.

I saved you a seat and made some cookies for you to snack on.

Below are some favorite ornaments we have around here. The Santa one is one my father in law had on his tree while growing up. The angle was given to me by my Mom many years ago. She has one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen. I love the look of simple wreaths and glass balls.

The Wallace Silversmiths Annual Gold Christmas Bell is an ornament that has been given to me every year I have been married (either by my Mother in Law or Sister in Law). They are one of my most treasured ornaments. Kitty wanted to know what the heck I was doing with my camera and why was he not part of the action. As you can see, Tug (my doggie) was just fine where he was thankyouverymuch. As far as snowmen, these are the only snowmen we get here in Florida.

Letters to Santa have already been written and posted on the tree. We want to make sure it is not missed.

When my kids were younger (all the way up to their 10th birthday), my mother in law would buy them a new ornament each year. These ornaments will go with them when they move away. The other picture are the decorations that I placed on my high shelf.

Lets sit by the Christmas tree and enjoy some time. I would love to hear how God moved in your life during this last year. I know I am blessed to have made many new friends.

When you come into my house you may have to move laundry around to grab a seat, but I want you to feel comfortable.

Come on in and take a load off!  Put your feet up with me, I would love to know more about you.

Everything is lovely, warm, and homey, Laurel! I love that idea with the grandparents and ornaments — I may do that when I have grandkids.

Girl friend—I loved my visit! The cookies were GREAT! Now, I think you have on my little boot/shoes. Did you grab them by mistake when I left them by the door??

If you didn’t —-I have a pair just like them!

Love you and enjoyed the visit

Beautiful, Laurel! Thanks for sharing such lovely pictures. My cat’s favorite place during the Season is under the tree, getting plenty of cat hair all over the tree skirt. :)

What a gorgeous home and you have to move laundry around in my home as well to get a good seat… It seems standard in most homes that I know of… Seems we’d fit right into each others home very comfortable…

Lovely!!! Merry Christmas!

Your tree is beautiful. And all your decorations are so sweet. I wish I’d thought of putting the kids’ letters to Santa on the tree – what a neat idea! Thank you for sharing your home with us – it’s so pretty.

Everything is just beautiful! I love the shot of the tree through the window! Stunning! I am loving the Christmas table and the letter to Santa on the tree!

If I ever did a Christmas table, my family would be like, “ummm…where are the paper plates?? Did Sams close early or something?”

p.s…LOVE the shot of your feet up! Great idea! Fabulous shoes!
