Now what kind of guest host would I be if I did not have food! I am glad to have you here, grab some coffee, there is cookies or brownies…or BOTH.
I feel honored that Iris asked me to guest host Thankful Thursday while she is taking a well needed and deserved blog break. So what are you thankful for this week?
He who loves purity of heart,
and whose speech is gracious, will have the king as his friend. Proverbs 22:11
1. Despite my yucky day on Tuesday (which you can read and see pictures here), you guys ROCK in your comments and put a smile on this girl’s face!!
2. I have the best sister in the whole wide world. One of the biggest ways you can bless a Mother is to do something for her child, and that is what my sister did. She came through in a big way for one of my sons, and in return God used her to bless me and knock my socks off. THANKS SIS!
3. I am thankful for friends who can find humor in my bad days because they help me keep perspective of what is going on around me. They are there to remind me it is just a “gnat in my lipgloss” kind of day, not a “this is going to kill you” kind of day.
4. I am thankful my oldest son leaves Saturday for his church mission trip to North Carolina (so are my windows …… just kidding). I pray God moves in his heart in a big way.
5. I am glad that whoever broke into my parents truck only stole Dad’s golf clubs and not the truck itself. Believe me we are heart broken enough just over the golf clubs. Pray by some miracle the cops find them, but I know the chances are unlikely. (Dad the computer cookies are for you too, and computer cookies are fat free!!)
6. I am thankful how blessed I am, I have a roof over my head, clothes on my body, food in my pantry…..I truly am blessed! I pray I don’t take the simple things for granted, for I am blessed I opened my eyes this morning.
What are you thankful for today? Take some food and leave your blog link.
May God richly bless you today!

This is my first time doing this. I am typically a thankful person for all things I just never say it out loud. Thank you for guest hosting! Enjoyed the brownies. I am now going to the store to buy the fixings so I can actually have a few in the real world!
Susan
That’s a great list! Thanks for hosting!
That picture is just too tempting! Thanks for hosting this week!
They were only “fat free” until I stared at them too long and was overcome with an urge to make some really ooey, gooey, chocolately, yummy ones for me and the boys…
gosh, I sure hope I can still get into that wedding dress! ;o)
Thanks for hosting this week!
How sweet of you to host Thankful Thursday - and serve sweets as well!!
Your list is so precious Laurel. I’m so sorry about your Dad’s golf clubs. Things like that make me rather irate!
I wanted to comment on your last post too. A friend and I were talking the other day (and I have two sons remember) about how 13 seems to be the worst age for boys - and then they begin to get quite human. Believe it or not (and I have one daughter whom I love to death) I think girls are just a teensy bit harder. It’s all that “moody” stuff. With boys - what you see is what you get. Fairly uncomplicated.
So take heart dear one - you’re heading for better days!!
Great list as always, Laurel.
Thanks for hosting today! The treats are yummy!
