I just returned from loving on my twin nephews. I don’t remember when I have had so much fun. Really you must think I am crazy by calling “fun” getting up in the middle of the night to help with feedings, surviving on only a few hours of sleep, the time change had my stomach hungry all the time, and changing more poopy diapers than I care to count. But let me tell you I HAD A BLAST!!
The cuddles I got (even at 2am) gave my heart such leaps I could barely stand it. I had a blast playing with my almost 2 year old niece, and enjoying the “two’s” hit full force. She was not sure what to make of having two new brothers, but now she has become a little Mommy. Life is going to be crazy for my sweet Sister In Love, but the joy will be double.
I missed my own boys, but cried when I had to leave these sweet new boys. I am going to have so much fun being an Aunt to twin nephews.
But the cherry on top, is I got to really know my Sister In Love better. When it is just the two of us late at night (hubby is a police officer), hair messed, eyes swollen from lack of sleep, and both of us staying in our PJ’s until almost dinner time…you get to know someone really well. I knew I loved her before, but now I can not image my life ever without her. I love you Sis.
Personally I am trying now to find some normalcy, when I returned home you could tell I left the house in the hand of 4 boys (one being hubby). Hubby is the one that made the great sacrifice so I could run away for a week. Now I have to find the energy to get back into the daily grind. Personally I was kind of getting use to staying in my PJ’s all day, and rocking a baby. But I guess the Lord calls us off the mountain top and back to work.
So Hi Ho Hi Ho back to life I go….. =)
PS - I do have to say I think I am going to hit “all read” on my google reader just because having over 800 unread messages really stresses out this type A personality. So if I don’t comment that is why.
PSS - I realize I have received some blog awards that I have not acknowledged, please know that I will as I get back into routine I am so blessed by you all.
PSSS - something new coming Feb 4th…the launch of something new!!

I am so thrilled you were able to have this great experience with the babies, and your sis! She’ll never forget all you did for her!
And aren’t our hubbies awesome for allowing us our getaways?

i love you sister! we miss you tons here… and Shay is asking about her Aunt Lo-Lo
It kinda comes out different each time, but Lo-Lo is what it is most of the time. She gets the biggest smile on your face every time she sees your picture. I think i am going to have to print one out for her to carry around with her Papa picture
Thank you for blessing our socks off! You are a God- sent
It’s my guess that you’ve been a huge blessing to your sister…
Glad that you were able to hold little reminders of why God loves us so much!
Oh my gosh, I am smiling SO big right now! Awwwwwwwww! What a wonderful aunt you are! So sweet! Okay, enough of that, come here and help me with Ella. I hear her calling your name at 2 am every night.
They are precious! It makes me miss my kids being so little. I know what it’s like trying to catch up on “real life”…. I do it week after week when I roll of the bus. Sometimes it seems easier to just stay away. (ha!) Glad you had such a sweet time and you are home safe. Look forward to more posts from you!
