We All Fall Short…

by Lori

Sometimes life hits you from left field when you least expect it. Sometimes life reminds you that we are all human. When someone you looked up to falls into sin, it can rock your world. It can rock your foundation. But also it reminds you to keep your eyes on the Lord, not on the Godly men of this world. I am currently struggling through some issues right now, my world has been rocked. It is a personal matter that I am not at liberty to share on the world wide web. I know the Lord is teaching me, stretching me, and I will come out better for it.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and only Him. We are all human, we all fail, God places Godly people in our lives so we can learn more about Him, but never place that person on a pedestal they are only being used by God. For we all fall short of the glory of God.

Aw, honey – while I understand how God uses these type of situations, I’m sorry you have to go through this. (((hugs)))

We can all use a reminder to keep our eyes focused on Him and no one else. Keep in mind that everyone is a sinner and have the grace to lay down the pedastal and see them how God sees them. God- may you grant Laurel your grace-filled eyes today.

Oh Laurel, been down this road. Saying a prayer for you.

At the risk of sounding cliche-ish… I am reminded of the song by Donnie McClurkin, “We Fall Down.” (But we get up)…

But all the same, it still hurts when you are going through it.

-Praying for you!

My world was rocked not so long ago. I also was not able to share openly on my blog.

Praying even now…

we have experienced the same thing recently, I will hold you close to my heart during the next couple of weeks. Also Nancy leigh Demoss has a great series going right now-it met me where I was at-it may do the same for you.

God bless you during this time!

Amen to that, my sweet friend…

“…looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” ~ Hebrews 12:2

Continue to pray for you and yours.

But you’ve the right mindset. At the feet of God is exactly where this situation should be.

And remember to help the one who has fallen. Sometimes we all need a helping hand to climb out of the pit of sin, even if all the hands are doing is being folded in prayer.

It is hurtful when someone we admire and trust lets us down. However, you are so right Laurel, we are all just frail human beings. The only One who will never disappoint us is Jesus.
I’ll pray for you too. I’m so sorry.

Sharon May 23, 2007 at 2:10 pm

Praying for you–know the hurt.
