What started out as a normal, relaxing Labor Day. As in, this is the first day we have had NOTHING going on and we were relaxing doing nothing. The kids were playing outside, I was catching up on laundry and housekeeping at a leisurely pace and hubby was working around the house. It was a Rockwell moment for sure. That is until my youngest comes walking in my front door wailing with blood dripping EVERYWHERE. The floors, our clothes, etc. It was one of thoes moments where you are not sure where the blood was originating from because there was so much of it, which should clue you in “head wound.” And that it was. I guess he was on his scooter, he tripped and landed right into our car. What was left was a 3″ open gash right on the top of his head. Oh mercy. So off to the hospital manly man and youngest son go. I was very good cleaning the cut while they were getting ready to head to the hospital. As soon as they left…I broke.
But all is good, 9 STAPLES later. No football this week, no game Saturday for him. He will be on the sidelines cheering his team on. He will have everything removed in 7 days. What a day, thank you very much to the hospital Drs. who work on Labor Day.
