I will give you a BIG hint why….
Oh practice does not start until Monday, for EVERY. DAY. FOR. A. MONTH. But fitting of pads, turning in paper work and all that jazz is Saturday. So it actually begins Saturday.
Oh, and I am the only one in this all male household that is sighing big sighs, manly man has been at coaches meetings the last two nights (he is an assistant), the boys are excited (as in, football is all that is discussed in this household). Do you see why I blog!! =)) I just have one question……

I feel for you, girl! Our guys played baseball in the spring rather than football, but any kind of sports seems to take over family life for a while.

Peace be with you, my friend. And I thought just the constant watching and talking about football around our house was bad, but that doesn’t start for a while! I hope the blog brings you lots of joy and comfort and release in the next few months!!
Girl,
You crack me up. and….. yes I am ready for some football. I am an enormous, gigantic fan of the Broncos.
I can’t wait for the season to begin. You my friend, are blessed indeed to hang with those boys.
Wish I was there. What fun we would have on the sidelines cheering. Bet you were a cheerleader.
Love you, me
Bring It On! baby …
My husband is a sports junkie! The only sport on that I actually enjoy watching with him is college football. So the fall is a good time around our pad. I like the SEC Bulldogs and he’s an ACC Miami boy so we never, ever have to pit sides … it’s lovely. Have fun with your son … I look forward to when my boys can play but I also dread it at the same time … don’t want them to get hurt
Luckily, DaHubby is a “sports-free” man with no interest in any organized high school, college or pro sport whatsoever! LOL I’m hoping for the same in Flicka and Pojke! *wink*
You are so funny! I found through a comment of a comment of a blog (you know, friend of a friend sort of thing…) and I think my kids can relate to you. They roll their eyes every June when basketball practices start up around here. Except we go through February. Have a good weekend. And thank God for blogging
Oh, that should be “I found YOU through a comment….” Sorry!
Cute collage pic.
Oh Why oh Why does my computer freeze everytime it loads your site, leaving me with just the title of the day….and my mind left to wander….desperately, how your life will never be the same….until the end of October!
It’s just FOOTBALL!!!! Phew! I’m releived!
Don’t get me wrong, I understand there is nothing “just” about football. It takes over your life….it demands comittment! YIKES! Now I remember why we encouraged our son to no longer play football once in high school. He is a basketball player, and yes, it is demanding, but somehow a little more quiet than the cracking of helmets, the thuds of bodies hitting the ground, and the late summer evenings swatting mosquitoes and dodging pelting rain as we sit in the bleachers! Yes, basketball allows this mother to be able to breathe through sports!
However, you gotta love football…so enjoy!
BTW: Loved the big hint! What a cool collage of activity.

Oh I feel for you my dear….my husband is a huge sport fan…but football is the one sport I don’t mind watching since I am a big fan of the Canadian Football League.
Blessings
You crack me up!!!! And yes, to answer your question…I am ready for some football!
My son’s football career only lasted through middle school….BUT…for some reason….once August is here…and Football is in the air…my dh and son are filled with glee!!
Enjoy this time…..it ends ALL too soon!!
Wooohooo! I am ready!! The season kicks off around here on Aug 31. I say this as an excited Aunt/fan,..not a mom being forced to hang out for practice 5 days a week. We have a few years before that hits our home!…But, here’s an idea for you. Lisa (TPW) is thinking about doing some sort of Bible study for the mom’s who are at practice,..maybe that’s something you could do?..I know you’d be great at it!
It will pass quickly. It will won’t it? ;v)
I can’t imagine. My hubby is so not into sports and neither is my son. It’s my oldest girl who plays basketball and rugby and because I’m the sport lover I get the privelage of doing it all with her.
Although my first love is soccer the world’s futbol, I am ready for USA football too! Blessings on your craziness over the next few months…

OH MY Laurel! I do NOT evey you one bit. Glad it’s you and not me!! hee hee.
I see you getting geared up for the “whirlwind” of activity…When I worked in the highschool it was the most exciting time of the year (football being our biggest sport and most supported). Of course if you are college level….whole new ballgame
I love football weather though!
Be blessed—have a wonderful weekend (as best you can!)
But they all look so adorable in their little uniforms! And it’s not soccer so I’d be thrilled.

Praise the LORD that sports have not entered our house. D&D? Yes. Computer games? Yes. Comic books? Yes. Nintendo DS? Yes. Sports? NO. I hate being gone everyday of the week and feeling like I am living out of my vehicle–no thank you.
We did that growing up and I hated every minute of it.
So yeah, I feel for you. In fact I cannot imagine how you survive, blog or no.
My prayers are with you!
*whew*…you didn’t say you were taking a break until October.
I say that because I JUST started reading your blog!
Enjoy every minute of it.
I cant believe how quick its over. My two sons started playing in a pee-wee league at 7 and my youngest just graduated from high school. So as fall is sneaking up on us…I am already feeling a loss. No two-a-days, no dirty uniforms, no ice packs, no scrimmages, no away games, no home games.
So enjoy every minute of it…those dirty uniforms will be gone before you know it. What a blessing that God gives us those years to be involved in our boys lives!

Yep, can’t wait!!! My son is in the marching band, woo hoo! I love high school football.
Wish you have a wonderful weekend.
I can’t believe it’s that time again! Ack! Jackson doesn’t play football (especially with a broken leg!) but Scott is OBSESSED with college football so it will soon take over our house.
Praying for your sanity!
I’m ready!!! My nephew plays too. He’ll be a senior this year.
I didn’t catch why you said it’s only until the end of October though.
Is that when the season ends there?
