Looking Back So I Can Look Forward

by Lori

My Year (2008) in Review. So many times we forget the blessings of everyday happenings, this is one of the reasons I love to blog, it allows me to look back on my year.

January: I became an Aunt to twin nephews!! (I can hardly believe they will be one soon, the last time I saw them, they were tiny tiny). And I got the biggest interview ever with Lisa Welchel.  I have to say the Lord has blessed me again for 2009, I have another BIG interview.  (all I can say is they are all “God blessings.”)

February: I discussed how being a Mother is just down right hard.

March: Sometimes our biggest lessons are taught while losing.  Became an Auntie again, a new nephew!

April: This month was a month of pruning and that hurts.

May: I read a powerful book called “When Answers Aren’t Enough, Experiencing God as Good When Life Isn’t.” And I became an Auntie again to a baby (girl) I have prayed for over 10 years!

June: I reflected on how time is going fast with my boys.

July: I found it is all about the journey not the destination.

August: Mother’s guilt when it comes to your middle child.

September: It the midst of Florida Football.

October: I got a year older and was reminded how much I adore my blogging friends.

November: I got my first letter from Mary my support child in Africa.

December: I have not written about it yet, but I had one of the best Christmas Days with my three boys. A day I know as a Mother I will keep in my heart forever.  And Mary my support child turned a year older (yippee).

Now that I have looked back, how about joining me in looking forward to 2009 (click the picture for details!)

  • I did a similar look back except I posted the first sentence of the first blog post of each month, yet all together they turned out to be oddly representative of my blog as a whole.

You had a lot of nieces and nephews this year!
