A Recommendation

by Lori

I took my boys to a movie yesterday. Let me just say school can not begin quick enough, they don’t go back until Monday. Which is 4 days, or 345,600 seconds, 5760 minutes, 96 hours… Any ways I am getting off topic here.

We went to go see “Night at the Museum”….. if you have boys, say over the age of 6 or 7 this is a perfect movie. No bad language, no real violence. All my boys loved it, even my really soon to be teenage boy.

Just wanted to give you a heads up because good clean movies do not come by often enough in my book.

PS- girls may love this movie also, but since the only point of reference in Laurel’s world is boys, I can only speak for them. =)

Good to know. My kids all want to see this and 2 of them are girls. My oldest girl much prefers action adventure over mushy girly girl films. So there ya go.

This is playing at Imax Theatres too, I’d love to see it in that format!

Thanks, Laurel. You’re right — good, clean family movies are few and far between. I appreciate the recommendation – this looks like a movie Camden would really enjoy!

I am looking forward when this movie comes out on DVD. The previews looked fun — and now I even have someone how can vouch for it :) . Thank you, Laurel.

I’ve heard this exact thing from so many people. Everyone I know who’s seen this movie said it was just great.

You know, even after the photo of the boys you sent me, I still forget that you don’t have daughters. I guess you WOULD see everything from a boy’s point of view. Hmmmm.

I’ve been wondering about this one…

I have four boys myself. I’ll have to check this out on DVD. Thanks!

Totally understand… the point of reference in My Life is girls. This is good, though… we can inform one another! :)

My third son turns 12 on the 27th. It is a tradition around here that I take the kids out to lunch on their birthday (that means I do it 8 times a year – WOO HOO!). He told me he wants me to take him to see that movie instead. Glad to have a positive review!
