Confession is good for the soul…

by Lori

I am on my way home after visiting family in Arizona. I came to Arizona and all I got is SICK! Seriously, things did not go as planned, I did not have the opportunity to visit with Iris because I was feeling so poorly. My head is about to exploded if I blow my nose one more time, my throat is scratchy, and my ears hurt….oh yeah and I am flying all day tomorrow. I will admit I am a little on the nervous side, but I do have some good over the counter stuff to help me. I pray I do not leave my germs behind. I have washed and sanatized my hands until they are raw, I don’t want anyone here in AZ to get sick (or my immediate family).

If you read this and think of me, could you say a little prayer while flying. I am nervous about my ears hurting. I will be visiting all the Thankful Thursday participants after I get home, have a good nights sleep and can break free from the fog surrounding my head. These are the most consecutive coherent thoughts I have put together all week.

Hugs!

  • From one nasty cold to another, hope you are feeling better
  • Praying that you're feeling better.
  • You poor thing. ((((((((healing hugs)))))))) I had a horrible sinus infection last April and had to fly and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be thanks to the drugs the doctor gave me. Praying that you have some good meds and the flight is painless.

I hope you can sleep the whole way home!

    Feel better.

I'm sorry you're sick! I hope your trip home went well--flying with sinus issues is never fun :(
  • So sorry you're ill. The pain in my sinus when flying is the worst I ever had. I pray that you won't suffer this. The Afrin sounds like a good idea.

  • Sorry you have been so sick. And you didn't get to see Iris. :( I feel like I have come down with the same thing.

Hey, I'm going to Floriday next May, but I don't know if I'll be anywhere near your place. And I won't be there long.
  • Laurel, you'll be in a pressurized cabin, which is good. Even so, if you have some Afrin or another brand of nasal spray that works like Afrin, you might want to use it before you get on the plane. It really will help a lot. You'll still be a bit stuffy in the ears, but the Afrin will do amazing things for you while you fly ~ take-offs and landings won't be quite so difficult, either. I learned this trick from my husband who is a pilot in the Air Force. :)

    Blessings,
    Trish
  • I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! I understand the anticipation of flying when you're stuffed up already. I will be praying.
  • Oh, dear - I am so sorry that you are still not feeling better. I will certainly lift you up in prayer, my sweet friend.

    (((hugs)))
  • of course. I hope you can sleep through the flight.
