I sure missed you, but I had such a wonderful time on my vacation. Like everyone who has gone on vacation, you almost need a vacation from your vacation.
I had so much fun loving on my niece, visiting with family, eating too much, and reading good books (what more could a person want). Phoenix was not too hot yet, so it was the perfect time of the year to visit.
Oh yeah, and I got to meet Iris…. (you can see our picture here, I am not even going to try something that fancy because Iris has such a wonderful talent in digital photoshop). What can I say, Iris is the real deal. I was a bundle of nerves, but as soon as our faces met it was like meeting a best friend. When I left I was giddy all day. I had the feeling that I just met someone God specifically placed in my life, it is only because of God that we met. It is so cool to experience something you know that is greater then yourself. I was nervous we would run out of things to say, but in reality we had lots to say. All I can say is I feel blessed.
Now it is back to selling my house, driving my teenager and kids around, and getting ready for the end of the year. School is over in almost two weeks (which I can not believe). The fact I am going to have TWO middle schoolers in my house has not sunk in. Oh Lord have mercy! We have a full summer planned ahead. Trip to Charleston, NC; our yearly trip to Minnesota to go bass fishing; and the boys each have a few camps. Many times I look forward to the calmness of the school year, but I enjoy the traveling also. And hopefully, if God sees fit we will be moving during the summer time.
But for right now I am taking a trip with Liz Curtis Higgs through Bonny Scotland, while reading “My Heart’s in the Lowlands.” I look forward to telling you all about it, I am already captured by page 20. It is like having a cup of warm coffee, and a thick blanket surround you while reading. Anyways, more on that later.
Bear with me as I get back to normal routine and get rid of this three hour jet lag that is hanging over me.
