A tag because I am brain dead…

by Lori

Because tomorrow is the last day of spring break, I won’t share how I feel about that. dancing

And I am basically brain dead and lack original thought, I saw this tag on my friend Amy’s site and thought I would jump in.

I have to tell you 6 unimportant things about myself:

1. I have not had a soda in over a month. The gasps you just heard is my family on the other side of the US…but it is true I swear. I also only have one small cup of coffee in the morning. Now if you knew what a caffeine lover I was, your eyes would be bugging from amazement. Lets see how long I can keep it up. I am trying to eat healthy.

2. I read a book a week. Yes I am the writer of Book Buzz, but really if I wasn’t I STILL would read a book a week. I LOVE READING. By the way have you read the reviews for April?

3. I have begun only eating sprouted bread (Ezekiel 4:9 bread) or spelt bread.

4. I am already looking forward to running away this summer to Minnesota to do some bass fishing. Ok, I don’t really bass fish (but I have to say I look mighty cute with my pink fishing pole I bought last year), instead I read and enjoy the beautiful handy work of God. This year I am hoping to get matching pink waders. My motto is, “if I have to fish I might as well look cute doing it!” And I know all the boys will leave my stuff alone, because really what man/boy wants to be seen with a pink rod. Photobucket

5. My oldest is TWO months away from being called a HIGH SCHOOLER. People I don’t look old enough to HAVE a HIGH SCHOOLER. In fact when I was purchasing his birthday cake for his birthday last month, the cashier (an older lady) blurted out, “Girl you look WICKED young to have a 14 year old.” I was at first flattered, but as I walked away I wondered if I should tell her I was in my 20’s when he was born. Also my son’s basketball coach always calls me my son’s “sister.” Yep, he is the Casanova.

6. My middle son is running away to the beach all day tomorrow, yep I am jealous. I think when he returns I will tell him of our adventures of eating cake and ice cream all day…..do you think he will fall for it?

Writing out 6 unimportant things took longer and more thought than I had. I learned two things: yep I am boring and I am wordy!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.

You May Also Enjoy:

  • My cousin adores that bread. I haven't tried it ... but to be honest, I can't get past the thought of chunky things in my bread, like wheat germ or nutty stuff... is the bread smooth or is it chunky?
  • Great Post!!! And we live in MN ... so if I see someone with that pink pole and waders I'll wave ;-)
  • P.S.---do I sound brain dead....I must. I just re-read my comment and I can't seem to spell 2....two two two two ---there. Oh....I have had caffiene.....about 1/2 can of coke...fully loaded....and 1/2 of mountain dew...before supper. Tea w/supper. Not doing that again!
  • After the week I have had...and today...this is exactly the post I needed!!! Whew! Girl, I do not want to re-do the lessons I learned this week! MY MOUTH!! WHEW!
I think I could "spot" you if I went to Minnesota! Pink is definitely the way I would go! (If I couldn't find lime green---or bright yellow!) My fav color is red though...in all shades.
LOVE you bunches***HAVE a great weekend...btw...have you checked out my puzzle yet? It's sort of a word-find-guessing game....didn't know if that was the sort of puzzle you liked. Jigsaw puzzles may be it---but they make me cross-eyed! My grandson (autistic one) loves them though. He has 4 that he mixes all the pieces together and then puts them together! (They are only 25 pieces each...but for a 6 year old...that impressed me!)---I think I just beat you in wordiness! You can tell I have just put to youngsters to bed. The 1 1/2 year old doesn't spend the night often and he was the "house cryer" for about 10 minutes. But my 6 year old puzzle man Rylan---went out quick! So you are the FIRST adult I have talked with in the past 20 minutes...Jeff isn't talking---he's watching TV!
Have a great weekend...(did I already say that?) Oh well, love you!
  • Great fun! But pink waders? Are you hoping to catch fashion conscious girl bass? You are too funny!
  • Cup of coffee a day. You go girl. I guess, I've been doing the same thing... I just hadn't realized it! No wonder I'm so tired...

You do look wicked young! It's a blessing, not a curse.

I was just talking to my mom about the fact that we won't be running away to anywhere. With the gas prices the way that they are and the car replacement, I think we'll be enjoying quiet a few nights on our back porch, thank you very much.

    You make me smile! :-)
  • I agree with Heather - I love it when you do posts like this, Laurel.

Bass fishing? You know, I think I could get into that!
  • You should do these more often--I miss reading your pots like this.:)

    Go you with the soda!
