Did you miss me???

I sure missed you, but I had such a wonderful time on my vacation. Like everyone who has gone on vacation, you almost need a vacation from your vacation.

I had so much fun loving on my niece, visiting with family, eating too much, and reading good books (what more could a person want). Phoenix was not too hot yet, so it was the perfect time of the year to visit.

Oh yeah, and I got to meet Iris…. (you can see our picture here, I am not even going to try something that fancy because Iris has such a wonderful talent in digital photoshop). What can I say, Iris is the real deal. I was a bundle of nerves, but as soon as our faces met it was like meeting a best friend. When I left I was giddy all day. I had the feeling that I just met someone God specifically placed in my life, it is only because of God that we met. It is so cool to experience something you know that is greater then yourself. I was nervous we would run out of things to say, but in reality we had lots to say. All I can say is I feel blessed.

Now it is back to selling my house, driving my teenager and kids around, and getting ready for the end of the year. School is over in almost two weeks (which I can not believe). The fact I am going to have TWO middle schoolers in my house has not sunk in. Oh Lord have mercy! We have a full summer planned ahead. Trip to Charleston, NC; our yearly trip to Minnesota to go bass fishing; and the boys each have a few camps. Many times I look forward to the calmness of the school year, but I enjoy the traveling also. And hopefully, if God sees fit we will be moving during the summer time.

But for right now I am taking a trip with Liz Curtis Higgs through Bonny Scotland, while reading “My Heart’s in the Lowlands.” I look forward to telling you all about it, I am already captured by page 20. It is like having a cup of warm coffee, and a thick blanket surround you while reading. Anyways, more on that later.

Bear with me as I get back to normal routine and get rid of this three hour jet lag that is hanging over me.

Welcome back! It sounds like the trip was just what you needed (isn’t God GOOD??) and now you can bring fresh, renewed energy to the tasks at hand. I loved the picture of you and Iris! What fun!

Yes, you were missed!

And what a fun time you must have had! With so many bloggers making the time to meet one another….I am getting very anxious to book a trip! I think, if plans remain the same, I will be meeting Dawn (from Grandma Dawn) this summer. It’s a long overdue meeting…as I’ve twice scheduled a trip to Denver…only to have the business purpose for going rescheduled!

Continued blessings for your very busy….but fun Spring!

You’re back already? Wow. That seemed like a quick trip! I’m so glad you two met each other. I ran over and saw the great photo of the food. LOL OK, you two look great, too, but my word, I could jump head first into those plates.

Am I the only one who noticed you said, “my teenager and kids?” Like they’re two separate entitites? Which of course they are. LOL

Welcome back. Good to have you home again. :-)

So glad you had a great time.
I was wondering what it would be like to meet someone from blogland. I have a chance to meet someone this summer and it is almost like having a blind date. Well, except you know them already. Anyhoo….glad you had a great time and that you are back safely.

Yes - I missed you. I’m so glad you had such a good time. Isn’t it incredible how quickly a friendship developes when you have Jesus in common?
It’s great to have you back Laurel.

Welcome back! I’m so glad you had a great time. I love the picture of you and Iris!

But… I don’t know what you look like. And I don’t know what Iris looks like. So I don’t know who’s who in the photo. Care to enlighten me?

I missed you!
