Wow! That is so inappropriate, I just don’t know what to say. Thanks for the heads up!

RedBook has always has this content without exception for more than 40 years. The difference is that now women more openly they say they don’t like it because it is less a social taboo to do so. In my mother’s and grandmothers’ days you were expected to silently ignore distasteful subjects.

Hit the sponsors; if more faithful product users withdraw their buying because the company supports RedBook (you have to tell them why you aren’t buying their product) than reader’s reply cards (to purchase or get more information in order to purchase) are coming in they’ll get the message. But changing RedBook is probably not going to happen the most likely scenario would be to force them to find grimier sponsors.

But you can also complain to the business owner where the offensive magazine’s were found laying around. They are not (usually) the only provider of their services and can be replaced.

Articles like that is one of the reasons I chose not to renew my subscription.

Years ago, BEFORE becoming a Christian, I use to read Redbook. I noticed the explicit material then get increasingly worse.

I am glad to see someone speaking out against it

I gradually dropped all subscriptions to women’s magazines over the years. I am appalled at the headlines on the front covers that I see when I am in grocery store lines or articles such as this one — it has gotten so much worse.

I even dropped one that was not explicit because I found the feminist propaganda affecting my thinking even though I was aware of it and disagreed with it.

My goodness, Redbook certainly has changed from my grandmother’s day. No, I avoid the women’s magazines altogether. The titles on the cover intended to “grab” you attention I find offensive enough. I dread the day when my 7 year old reads them in the grocery store line and starts with her rapid fire questions. Yikes!

Thanks for the heads up on this one.

P.S. I wish you were closer, there sure are a lot of leftovers over here!!!!!!!

Yep, it’s not the same Redbook we used to know. Thanks for posting the link. After I became a believer years ago, I felt convicted to stop many magazines just because of their worldly views. It’s a shame that they continue to publish tasteless material, though. Insulting, at the very least.

I’m not a redbook subscriber, fortunately after reading that garbage! Thanks for the heads up.
I bought a magazine years ago (JAnE) and was a little shocked by the content of that magazine too. I remember getting rid of it because I really didn’t want my teenage daughter to read it. ever.

YUCK!!

I didn’t realize Redbook was still out there.
