About Me

_MG_6906My name is Lori Kasbeer.  I was the book reviewer for Christian Women Online magazine for two years.  I have had the privilege to personally interview Christian speaker Angela Thomas, actress Lisa Welchel, Grammy winner Rebecca St. James along with many more.  You can now find my reviews on my personal book review site (http://laurelwreathsreflections.com/bookreviews).

I am a contributing author to the newly released book Pearl Girls: Encountering Grit, Experiencing Grace.

I am also a monthly devotional writer for Laced With Grace.Pearl Girls Cover

I have been married to my best friend for 15 years, I live in a house full of boys; three to be exact. However, if you add the cat and the dog, testosterone runs rapid.

I met my husband in Arizona. He was a military brat going to the University and I was just a “regular brat,” so we connected right away; we were married in our senior year of college.

Life hit hard; new baby, husband’s new job, small apartment, and very little money to live on. There was no direct family support; while going through days of depression, loneliness, and homesickness. But the Lord was with me through it all. I learned to lean on the Lord in a mighty way. I currently live in Florida and recently celebrated 15 years of marriage.

In 1994 I graduated from college with a communication degree with a minor in family studies. I was a childcare provider in my home for several years, then a pre-school teacher, middle school PTA treasurer, and currently an Office Assistant working only when my kids are in school.

I have a heart for women, and find it a privilege to remind women today that God is deeply in love with them. No matter what you have done, no matter where you have been God loves you right where you are with His agape love.

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”~ Zephaniah 3:17

I am wondering if we are in the same town...I too live in a historical, small (not so small anymore) Florida town...

If you are interested to find out e-mail & I will tell you where I am at...I think that would be so cool!

    God bless,
    Maria

P.S. I just read a post of yours that echoes what I woke up with on my heart...I love how God does that - speaks the same in different ways to many people!
