I sooo had to play along after I read the quotes in the book I am reading.
Anyways this is the book:
“Saturday Morning” by Lauraine Snelling
(great book by the way, there is a character that is SOOOO me, so much so it is a little uncomfortable)
Here’s how it works:
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open it to page 123.
3. Scroll down to the 5th sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences, the name of the book and the author.
The 3 sentences are:
“Of?” Coffee cup in hand, Shari took a seat at the counter
“My husband”
Shari sipped her coffee. “I was afraid that was coming. What happened?”
Andy went over the entire weekend in detail. “When he told me he didn’t want a part-time wife, I came unglued, and the worms came crawling out of the can.”
(ok so a little more that three sentences)…

Oh boy. Part-time wife? Worms coming out of cans? I may have created a book monster. How can anyone read that little excerpt and not want to get the book!
It’s funny that the original rule was to grab the book closest to you and that would have been my dictionary. I think what you and I came up with is infinitely more interesting than THAT would have been.
This could be fun. Maybe people will play along with it.
Wow, I’m with Barb, that is a riot…I can’t imagine getting a few lines out of book that evokes more curiosity! Good choice.
Us Floridians have to stick together, and in answer to your ? we have had a light drizzly rain all day, nothing too bad, how bout you? Yes, I think you are right at least we are ready for the next hurricane with our kits too.
I did this several omnths ago on Myspce (yes I have a myspace count because it the only place I can actually get in touch with my sister-in-law and my brother.) The closest book on hand was the Bible, which was pretty cool. This time it is a toss up between my Bible and Clean it Fast, Clean it Right, which are sitting side by side near my computer.
Now you have me wondering what the summary of the book is!!!
