Susanne from Truly Captivating tagged me about my dreams.
With this meme it asks: What are your dreams? Not things that God has promised you, but things you dream about or things that you whisper in His ear. What are you believing God for? Be bold, Be Honest, Be courageous!
Well amazing enough, talking about my dreams was the very first post I did of the year here
I said:
I don’t know when it started but I am scared to dream. Mainly because I want God’s will no matter what, and it seems whatever I dream He changes. I feel things deeply so when I dream and things change I tend to get my feelings hurt. The Lord has been teaching me how to turn over my dreams and desires to him, but still dream big. He has been saying, “Come on girl, give me all you got, DREAM BIG”.
So dreaming is something I have been working on this year.
If I could give a list of my dreams:
1. That my youngest son catches up to his grade level in his reading this summer. And passes an important test he has to take June 28th.
2. That my house sells this summer and we get the chance to either move into a new house or begin building.
3. To grow in knowledge of Christ, the more I study the more I want to learn.
4. That my sons grow and show a desire to learn more about Christ.
5. That my husband grows and desires to learn more about Christ.
6. To lose that stinkin 5 pounds that seems to always come back.
7. And for my way out there, laugh at the thought, dream…I would love to write a devotional book maybe sometime in my life. That dream is a hoot though, I can not spell worth a darn and my sentence structure is to be desired. That would totally be a God thing, but it is something for later on in life when the kids are older. “Maybe something like, ‘I survived the Testosterone World’ ” hehehehe.
Consider yourself tagged, and come back and let me know when it is up =)

Great list!! Thanks so much for playing. I loved your quote from the earlier blog on dreams. How inspiring! I just want to share something else that my pastor says quite frequently, “If it makes sense; if it’s something you could possibly do on your own, then God is probably not in it. He wants us to achieve the impossible and give HIM all the credit”. Get on with your writing, girl!!

You could sooo write a book of devotionals, LW. You write it and let someone else proof it if that’s all that’s stopping you.
I’d buy it, in a heartbeat. Of course I wouldn’t have to because I know you’d send me a copy. Autographed. LOL
You really could, you know.

Barb took my words. You could sooo write a book of devotionals! You should just save all the ones for the Cafe and LWG and send them to a publisher.
I love your list, Laurel. Praying for some answers on your house and your son’s test!

I think I may try this one in the next few days - meanwhile, I can totally see you writing a devotional book - and if as you say, your grammer and spelling aren’t up to snuff - and I think there is nothing wrong them - then that could be one of those “God’s strength through my weakness” things!! Yup - I say go for it - He is the dream giver..He puts the desires in our hearts for the things He wants for us.

Write the book, that’s what editors are for! You are such a great writer, so I’m glad that’s one of your dreams.

I’m with everyone else on the book thing Laurel…Don’t let all those experiences fade with time and don’t keep all that wisdom you’ve gained from them to yourself..I’ll buy one too…but I am like Barb, I still want an autograph..:))

I remember reading that dream post, Laurel.
Your dreams all seem very doable to me…really! Doesn’t it feel good to just get them written down and out into the open?
And puleeze…I saw your picture with your little niece in the stroller, and there is NOT 5 pounds on you. And even if there was? 5 Pounds? Big whoopteedoo.

Love that you shared your dreams with us. Yes, God asks us to dream big…and we just have to trust that He will help us to fulfill those dreams…
Hey - maybe we can publish a devotional book together, because it has been a huge dream of mine as well…and I know that I couldn’t fill a devotional book by myself.
Blessings to you and yours.
