OH my goodness, what an awesome blessing!!!

Janis at Dandelion Momma held a drawing for a CBD gift certificate….and I WON.

I would like to thank all the people who made this possible…

Mom & Dad for giving birth to me….

And God for blessing me

And most of all Janis who blessed my socks off.

Ok off to find my Princess crown and walk around the house while vacuuming and scrubbing toilets, because you know if you are going to feel like a Princess you better look like one.

Now off to clean the castle so someone will buy this one and we can move into a little bit bigger castle. hmmmm….does that mean I need a bigger crown (for this bigger head)???

THANK YOU JANIS!!! Can you all go over and visit Janis at Dandelion Momma and tell her she ROCKS!!

“I’m hooked on a feeling.” just like BJ Thomas sang back in 1969. Our feelings are a very important part of who we are. We make decisions based on how we feel, or change our mind because we “had a bad feeling.” As you read blogs, even this post you are judging what I am saying with your current feelings and life experiences. You are determining how you “feel” about what I am saying. (click here to read the rest)

Paying it Forward….

I guess when you are nominated TWICE, you have to acknowledge it. Hehe… First Linda from Middle Year’s nominated me and I promise I was going to do a post and thank you from the bottom of my heart, but my head was still spinning wondering how I deserved such a compliment.

Then Barb from Chelsea Morning nominated me and she said I had no choice, she “was not taking, NO for an answer.” (and you know how pushy she can be, ;))

UPDATE: Janna at Bread Crumbs nominated all the women at Laced With Grace, thank you very much. It is a great group of women, I am humbled to be a part of. THANK YOU THANK YOU.

AN UPDATE’S UPDATE:

My goodness thank you so much. Crystal also thinks, I think…..

To see the rest of this post go here…

Laurel Wreath is someone who thinks allot like me and we have had similar experiences that made me instantly want to get to know her better. She is a daily must read for me….I love how she brings scripture to life and just makes it relevant! She would be on my list of someone I would like to meet in person someday!

(GIRL ANYTIME YOU ARE IN FLORIDA =))

From the bottom of my heart I thank both of you, I have no words. You are getting me on a difficult week, and the blessings you are sending my way are beyond wonderful. So I say a simple….THANK YOU.

Now for this award,
there are some rules:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that
make you think,

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the
meme,

3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the
post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver
version
if gold
doesn’t fit your blog).

So I now have the fun part of nominating five “Thinking Bloggers”

Iris, at Sting My Heart, not only has become a close blogger friend, but her heart for God and her testimony on her marriage, and her gently spirit make her one of my favorite people who defintely make me think. Go visit her and poke around, you will be blessed.

My second person is Lynn from Spiritually Unequal Marriage. Lynn’s blog makes me want to become a better wife, despite differences between my husband and I, she also gives pratical examples on how to do this.

Next, Terri from In His Hand is adopting from China. Having two precious nieces that were adopted, Terri’s site warms my heart. I have enjoyed following her journey. She is a beautiful woman, with a heart from God.

Now Ms. Shalee, at Shalee’s Diner, can make me think deep while needing a package of depends. Yes, she is funny, but her deep heart for God is awesome. How I treasure this woman!

(good gracious only one more, I could give tons of these away)

Darlene, is one who makes me cry, laugh, and feel deeply with each of her posts on her blog and on CWO. I have valued getting to know her better. She has such a deep heart for God and women. I am so honored to be able to call her a blogger friend.

So congrats women, you definitely make me think!! Collect your award and pay it forward.

And for the rest of you, go visit their sites, I promise you won’t be dissapointed.

Some rambling thoughts….

Barbra and Iris tagged me on the Wikki Meme, I have done the post twice only to lose it when I hit publish or save. So I will wait until I don’t throw this computer through the window. =)

Well our house if officially on the market (wanna move to Florida?), this the first time I have ever sold a house. I am thinking it might be my last ;) I have been painting, spackling, painting, laying carpet, painting, organizing, vaccuming, painting…. do you get the picture?

I told hubby my fear in all this, is he is going to get to use to having the house this clean all the time, hehehe. My oldest son asked me this morning, “has anyone even looked at the house, why do we clean so much?” (the term “we” is used loosely). I said because when you are finally sitting in your new house, in your own room, you will think it was totally worth it. But just like everything in life, you have to put effort into something to get the reward. Then he said, “I dont know Mom.” Well fortunately for him, that I do know, and it will be worth it.

I do have to admit, selling a house is a challenge for the unorganized (me).

I now make sure the bed is made with all the pretty pillows on the bed, before I threw the sheet up and called it a day.

The floors are vaccumed before we walk out for the day (I work while kids are in school). Before, I vaccumed once maybe twice a week.

On a good month my floors would be mopped twice, three times a month. Now they are mopped almost daily, if not every other day.

The kids felt freedom of eating and snacking. Now they snack, with me standing over them with a broom to catch all the crumbs.

To say that this is going to drive ME, and the boys a little crazy is an understandment. Hubby is the only one loving it. But I know it will be worth it. Right?

Have I told you guys how much I appreciate all the kinds word, encouraging comments you leave for me. I fear life has got me busy and visiting has been sporadic, but I want to tell you thank you for kind words and comments that really encourage me.

Have a wonderful Wednesday. And maybe I will try that Meme here again soon….

In Other Words…

As soon as we open our eyes in the morning we begin making our choices for the day. It begins with the choice of, “do I want to get out of bed right now or not?” Before we even walk out our front door we have made choices that are going to effect the rest of our day. Some days in my household things go just right, and I skip out of my house ready to take on the day. Other times, nothing can seem to go right, everyone is cranky and I drag myself out my front door already feeling defeated for the day.

The last few weeks I had to make some difficult choices on whether I believe God, and trust Him in all things. In my head I know I do, I say I do, but when the rubber hits the road do I really? I will admit at first I fretted and worried and displayed my lack of trust very evidently in one incident. Then in another incident a prayer has been answered that I have prayed for, for so long and so earnestly that when it appears to have been answered I am shocked. I mean fall on the floor shocked (I will be honest my head is still spinning). But why should I be? Isn’t God a God of blessings, don’t I pray in hope of answered prayers? Or do I pray for my hearts desire, but think I deserve less? Wow that last question was straight from God to my computer screen.

C.S. Lewis is right our choices draw us closer to God or further away. Unfortunately, I feel like I bounce back and forth. I desire and want to make the right decisions all the time, but my human nature sometimes get in the way. This is where I praise God for his mercy and grace, for as soon as I realize I am not reacting properly he allows me to run back into his arms and He finally takes over all that worries me.

Our feelings fail and betray us, I do pray for my hearts desire but I need to be ready to open up my arms and accept the blessings God pours out in anticipation. Right now I stand there and say, “Really? You are actually going to bless me with my hearts desire?” This is something the Lord has just shown me I need to work on.

Ask, expect, receive, but lay everything before the Lord knowing He has his perfect timing in everything. He says, “Taste and See the goodness of the Lord,” Psm 34:8

You can get the CWO icon here. Head on over to Fruit In Season to read more wonderful takes on this weeks quote.
