1. I am so thankful that the Lord offered salvation to me. I was so overwhelmed by it all yesterday (after Theology class of course), wondering what would the God of the universe want with a girl raising three boys, in some small town. And I hear the small whisper, “because I love you.” I don’t understand it but I am thankful!
2. I am humbled and excited to be part of this new group Jehovah Java Internet Cafe, ok and a little nervous.
3. First let me preface this by saying I live in a SMALL town, but I am a wee bit excited because manly man was invited to a dinner party at the Mayors house tonight. Yes, I am fretting about what to wear (it is business attire). Oh PLEASE don’t think we are people we are not, I am just as shocked we are going. Kind of like the hillbilly’s going to a fancy restaurant. I will probably drop food or spill my drink right off the bat!
4. I am thankful for my biggest cheerleader….my Mom. Without her I doubt I would have any confidence to do any writing at all.

Laurel, I think you are a wonderful writer (who is going to be dining at the mayor’s house tonight with a little black dress) and so encouraging to many.
Theology classes are a lot of fun. Enjoyed mine so much and sometimes miss it to get my brain all wrapped around Scripture…

You’re a great writer, BUT thank the Lord for our mama’s who thank we’re great when we are at our lowest and can tell us when we’re not being so great and need to hear it.

Isn’t “business attire” the most difficult category? What does it mean, exactly, especially for women? Just remember the verse (one of Paul’s I think) that tells us to “clothe ourselves with Christ.”

Remember when you go to the Mayor’s house, you only need to please the Heavenly Father! I know how you feel, though–I’m such a clutz and feel awkward in a formal setting. I always quiz my dh on accepted behavior.
